I’m curious to know if a release clause was inserted. If he did it to Newcastle why not us if Real or Barcelona come for him.

Has to be said FSG are knocking it out the park atm.
It's not just the fact we are champions or even this incredible window, the way they've handled stuff like the Jota situation or even when that nutter rammed the crowd.....you just don't expect to see such competence and class and sensitivity from people with money and power these days, you just don't.
Even our rivals are praising us for the way the club has gone about things. Seriously they need to send Henry, Werner, Hogan et al to the UN to sort the world out because the so called global leaders we've got atm are a fvcking disgrace, the sh.1t that's going on in the world.

Yes, exciting times. Agree, I'm uneasy about the way he acted over the last few weeks, but we're getting a player with a point to prove. My mind is blown by this transfer window, we must be close to spending 0.5B. We're just not used to it!

Welcome to the club. We went out and signed the best or second best striker in the league after Haaland, so yeah credit where it's due to the owners, and not just for this but for all the other things mentioned above.

Great signing no doubt but I wonder what this means for Ekitike now. With so many games and competitions these days though, there's no harm and plenty of games for the both of them, especially considering Isak is a bit injury prone.

Hopefully training with his national team will help get his match fitness closer to what it needs to be.

Anyone get the same buzz of signing Isak same as when we signed Torres??

I remember his first goal vs Chelsea I think, frigging awesome.

Wonder where Isaks first goal will be.

I remember when Torres came the knock on him was he couldn’t finish and missed a lot of chances. It was the Liverpool supporters (and some great Gerrard through balls) that made him the player he was by singing his name and the support. He never reached anywhere near the level he reached with us again. Liverpool supporters make players better.

Watching Sweden in their WC qualifier and Isak looks ridiculously unfit. He looks like he can't even sprint. I know he didn't have a preseason, but after the 3/4 weeks he's been here you'd think he'd be abit further along.

Jurgen always said that a player without a proper preseason is very likely to have a poor season. I wouldn't be surprised if Isak doesn't start looking good until late in the season or even until the next one.

Usually we don't want lads to feature in int games but with his case I guess he needs the mins. Wonder how our lad Witrz did with Germany. The Newcastle forward seems an interesting talent.

Positive early updates suggest its Isaks lower leg that he was suffering with more than the knee itself. That's from James Pearce himself, so thats looking more promising.

Looked like he’d done his ankle on tv, I thought he’d broken it at first.

If nothing is broken, might be ankle ligament damage, which would rule him out for 5 or 6 weeks.

Hoping it’s nothing serious, he scored a good goal yesterday.
