He's very similar to Riise, i think a bit better, wouldn't mind seeing him on the right side of our defence. He can also play in midfield and he's better than anything else we currently have on the right hand side.

Yes, Emerton is a good player.

An interesting point is what Benitez made about Nunez a few weeks ago, describing him as "John Arne Riise on the right hand side".

in one word: no chance, dont want him, we already got mediocre

I take it you've never seen him play? ???

He's quick, he's very strong, he's got a good first touch and his passing is very good. He's an excellent athelete who can also cross a ball and spot a pass. He's willing to link up with other players and is hard working.

I can't understand people judging players before watching them, i've ALWAYS liked him and last time we played them he scores and sets up a goal...

I hate it when players i rate do that against us.

the guy can play and all what u say is true
just he seems so in and out of games like kewell
that is my only concern
if he performed week in week out i'd snap their hands off 4 him
i saw him play before he came to premiership
at that point i wondered why we didn't bid for him then

hes nothing like kewell, well apart from being blessed with pace and talent. Hes so much more than just a right footed kewell, he is a hard worker who was outstanding for Feynoord for 4 years before moving to england and won 1 dutch title, 2 dutch cups a uefa cup, Dutch Footballer of the Year and Oceania footballer of the year.  Give me him over kewell any day, and hes miles better than finnan or josemi and garcia on the right wing (but not garcia behind the strikers).
