Yeah that's the important thing about this extension, although it only adds 2 years on to his current deal (2024 instead of 2022) it takes him past this mythical 7 years at one club barrier that Everton and United fans never shut up about. So in other words a Jurgen Klopp dynasty becomes a distinct possibility.
This is the biggest signing this club could have made and a welcome bit of news on a otherwise bad day. As you say well done FSG, in 10 years time it wouldn't surprise me if we look back on this day as one of the most pivotal in our modern history.

it was great waking up this morning to a video of the man himself saying he'd just signed a new contract. he's the perfect fit for us and has somehow transformed this club into a killing machine in the short time he's been here.

Someone said to me earlier than Milner had signed a new contract as well, not sure how true it is.

Yup, just wanted to write in his thread. He extended his contract until summer of 2022.

Great news and his assistants have also signed  contract extensions. He is possibly my all time favourite Liverpool manager and I go back to Bill Shankly so that really is saying something. His enthusiasm is infectious. He is an incredible manager and his appointment was probably the best thing the owners have done since they bought the club.

Great news.

And that's why it means more.  Klopp is loved by his players....well most of them. Migs gave the shortest of man hugs in that clip  :D

I don't think Ancelloti would have been as successful as Klopp is currently. Great manager, without question, not as good as Klopp though.

Not even close. No disrespect for Ancelloti, great manager, but none of what's happening right now would have happened with any other manager than Klopp. Glad we made the right choice.

Interesting vid on our last 10 years.

Still can't believe we had Roy Hodgson as manager. Times were feking dire back then.
