As much as i want Alex Teixeira, Joel Matip, Granit Xhaka and Ter Stegen to all join us in this window, i honestly feel it's all been left too late now and i have a gut feeling not one of them will in fact join in this window

Perhaps in the summer we will see one or two of them, but i think any incoming business is done

I fear the Teixeira deal is a dead rubber now. We really could do with him

Pity about missing out in this window, because in the summer we'll probably have Maureen and Poop Guardiola competing with Klopp in the market, so all the Ady Wards in the business will be pushing up the prices like fook, and ManUre and Citeh have more loose cash at their disposal than us.

I still think Teixera will sign this window.

I also think Matip is nailed on for the summer.

I doubt we'll seriously go for Ter Stegen, given Klopp openly dismissing that we're interested in German keepers, given Mignolet's 5yr contract and given the reported fee Barce are looking for him (up to 20mil if some reports are true).  But I do think a better keeper than Bogdan will come in, maybe an experienced one. This does disappoint me as I do think Migs needs replacing.

I'm glad we're being linked to defensive mids like the Swiss lad. Someone of the class of him or Gundogan (not strictly defensive I know) is needed in the middle.

I agree with FSG. We shouldn't be held to ransom for a player who is unproven in top flight football. I'm sure he's good, but he hasn't proven it in a good league.

I'd move on to other targets.

I think they're being unreasonable cos they ripped themselves off when they sold Costa

Whatever mate... My point is don't waste time and get it done if you're already interested in the target. The valuation is so far apart, stop messing about. If you're not that interested and only testing the waters then don't fly there to seal the deal and Sh*t like that. I'm sure they have back channels to gauge how willing is the selling club.

I'd pay 35 for him to get it done. And I'm sure they would accept that. Look at Willian, we messed about with him and then Chelsea swooped in. And he's an enormous player for them now. Not only is he skillful he probably has the highest work rate in Chelsea.

Best of all is that we are screaming for a player like Alex. High work rate, high skills and goals.

They want £38m though, £35m wouldn't get him

Of what profile mate? I've never heard of him... he scores goals in the Ukraine league which is 2 grades lower than the Scottish league. So what exactly re we getting for 31 or 38 million? He's complete unproven, he's not exactly Ibrahemavich is he?

Personally Reg I'd say the £25m was fair enough, pushing for £30m upwards is quite frankly getting our eyes pulled out. I'd like to see him here but there's a line. We've got a lot of areas to address and I would only pay the extra if it meant we could still sort everything else out, but not with that sacrifice. Plus there's the fact that Europe will be watching us pay this for him

For me £25m and make some of the rest up in add-ons. We need to protect ourselves in case he doesn't cut it. If he does then the extras won't hurt
