Of course we haven't got the same type of relationship with Man City that Chelsea have got with Vitesse Arnhem, the point I was making is that we are no longer a club that can hold on to its best players and where once our rivals would not dream of putting a bid in for our best players these days they do.

You keep saying us being a feeder club but name a player bar Torres, Which its now obvious we got the better deal in, That we have sold to one of the top 4 rivals ?

If they could take our players that easy why didnt any of them get Suarez, Why is Coutinho still here ? Chelsea never got Gerrard after numerous attempts

Yes our players have moved onto other clubs in the past but that's been going on for decades now - it's very rare for any club to have a player that stays at one club for the whole of his career.

You were making statements that were blatantly false

I would eve suggest there is prob only two clubs that can prob keep hold of their best players - Barcelona and Madrid and even then enough money might persuade them to sell

Every player in every club has a price

Sure, Torres was the only transfer that went through but look at the big picture(if you can).
1st of all how many star players have we even gone for from the top 4?
Answer, none, not even close never even looked at or approached cause it's futile.
On the other hand, Suarez was chased by Arsenal the whole summer and only cause the owners finally put the foot down did we manage to hold onto him for 1 more season.
But have you forgotten the letter he sent out to the media???

And now Sterling seems to be the next one. Our most coveted asset, a star player, being courted this summer and probably bought in the end.

A number have moved from Arsenal to City or Utd but overall very little

We have very rarely ever bought players from the likes of City , Utd etc - it's not a new thing. Our best players have come from clubs below the top level of clubs in Europe.

Other clubs have bought top players from clubs from abroad

Lucas Digne a left back from PSG.

We spent £20m on Moreno last summer but Liverpools transfer policy is more about potential sell on value than team requirement.

Firstly we took Sturridge from Chelsea. Paid a lot less then they did for Torres and Sturridge has a better return for us then Torres did for Chelsea. Sturridge is younger as well

We are discussing teams taking our better players and my point was none of the current top 4 have taken any of our good players since i can remember even Torres was having a poor poor season when he left.
