suarez's antics are overblown by the media.

This is right. I heard them say "he never touched him" but his trailing foot did clip Suarez's shin as he slid through. Not much and not worthy of the theatrics but he did clip him.

Point is, as highlighted, he made a meal of it, and any other ref may have given him a yellow. The only reason why MC did not is because he was already on a yellow and I don't think he wanted to influence the game and result in such a manner. It was not just that, but the one in the box with Kompany, and the other issue with Silva after they scored the first goal. Just glad he didn't try to bite Zabaleta along the way seeing how hot headed he was.

Stupid thing to say about biting Zabaleta

THERE WAS CONTACT, the theatrics are irrelevant

And the post of the week goes to..........

Ffs he plays a phenomenal ball for Sterling to open the scoring and takes some of the immense pressure off and all you can do is have a go. Your suggestion that is all he did is absolute rubbish. Watch the game again. Yes he was pumped and did some silly things but he certainly doesn't deserve the garbage that is being thrown at him. Constructive criticism is fine but forgive me if I think you are talking utter *****.

In terms of discipline I thought Suarez was pretty close to the edge yesterday.

Volubly challenging almost every decision that went against him, constantly mouthing at the ref and hitting the deck in the most theatrical manner when tackled. All of which conspired against him when because of his antics the ref waved away a justified appeal for a penalty against Kompany, (replay confirmed a definite penalty).

What we saw yesterday was not the controlled and brilliant player he's been for most of this season but shades of the Luis Suarez of the previous season, still brilliant but potentially an "accident" waiting to happen.

Totally agree with your CONSTRUCTIVE and BALANCED view Woof.

He was a bit too pumped. The red mist had come down just a tad too far. Hopefully a minor mental blip and nothing else. Got to love his desire to win though.

when Suarez focuses on playing football, he is the best in the world...as his assist for Stirling proved. However, he was rattled early on against City  with his booking in the first 5 mins. However, we got away with it and move on.

Concentrate on scoring instead of diving.

Lets be honest, he was acting like a child yesterday and any other player would have been hooked.
Completely lost his head.

Rodgers will need to have a word.  We need him focused for the final 4.

Are you a f*cking idiot Stu? Didn't I support the argument that he should win ballon d'or a few days ago a you were against that? That doesn't mean that he can't have a poor game though. He was like a little brat yesterday and almost costed us the game with his behavior. You're the one that should go support someone else since you have hardly written anything positive about us and we're on top of the table!

I was cursing him the whole game expecting a red to be shown at anytime but you know what, If that is what it takes to win, so be it. Man U didn't win titles by playing honorably, Chelsea with a diving Dogba?

It's a dirty game and Suarez with his bag of tricks will be the difference between finishing 3rd and 1st

I never said that I had a problem with him trying to cheat yesterday, although I am very much against it. I had a problem with the fact that the cheating and the shouting at the ref instead of trying to play football almost costed us the game. If he cheated and it work I probably wouldn't have complained, but to be honest he's a very bad cheater.

Out of curiosity - do you guys feel it was a dive yesterday? I thought there was contact and it was a foul but people have been insisting it was a dive all day today. Thoughts?

I thought here was contact as he was passed the defender and away but seen the replay loads of times and I can't see any contact so I don't know what he was upto, really strange, maybe he was losing his balance and going down so tried for the free kick
