Not in the same league as Gerrard if you look at Gerrard when he was 23.  Even now Gerrard is still better.

There could still be a place for Henderson in a Liverpool side challenging for major honours though.  Every team needs a worker and he's a beast physically.  I've always said I have no worries about the money invested in the lad, he's a good player.  Had his best game in a Liverpool shirt yesterday.

Not good enough to be a regular in a league winning side.

One outstanding performance isn't enough to convince most that the 2 years of average performances are a thing of the past.

Think one or two people are getting a little bit carried away at the moment!

I'd love to see your face if we win the league this year, with Henderson playing regularly. I'm sure you have a back up argument though.

I'd love nothing more.

But I can absolutely cast iron guarentee without exceptional circumstances (along the line of drug cheating or air crash disasters) we will not win the league this season.

We aren't good enough.

To be quiet honest, I don't need a back up arguement, because if I'm right, which I am... What I've said is again justified, if I'm wrong, I will be to happy to give a flying f*ck what anyone else thinks.

Spot on from Cascarino in the Times today -

Thank you, sir: Jordan Henderson
Brendan Rodgers should drop Sir Alex Ferguson a thank you note. Ever since the Scot criticised Jordan Henderson’s running style, the midfielder has not had a bad game, and he was man of the match against Spurs.

definitely won't win the league if Steven Gerrard is getting 90 minute games; we may win the league one day with Henderson playing...
definitely won't finish top 4 if Steven Gerrard is getting 90 minute games; we will get top 4 if SG is given a supporting role to the midfield and not a "starring" role .
If I'm wrong ........ hell will freeze over

hendo reminds me of a young gerrard in the game, harassed spurs in the middle then the next moment joining in the attack,
he is still raw but got a evergreen energy and explosive power, like the young gerrard.
let hendo train his shooting and we will have a very very dangerous player here.

I really haven't got a clue what you were watching. I can't think of any period during the game and especially the first 10 minutes that Spurs dominated. Liverpool dominated the entire game and every stat conclusively proves that. It's all about opinion but to be honest I think you were getting the beers in during the first 10 minutes  You'll be doing a FiceCups next and say that you were only joking. Sorry FiveCups - only joking

Totally agree. At best Spurs put 2 or 3 mins of high pressure on us after kick off. With 5 mins gone we had already worked that one out and were passing our way out of trouble.

The stats of that game speak for themselves. 3 shots from spurs, 0 on target.

I think Jordan has flourished in Gerrards absence ,and with the onus falling on him to be the fulcrum of this Liverpool team his game has
become far more inventive. Jordan's energy or his application has never been in question ,but on Sunday these attributes along with his
overall  game were exceptional.

I think the main source of encouragement was how the players worked in retrieving the ball ,and in particular Sterling whose positioning
I have questioned this season ,but on Sunday he looked for all the world like an old fashioned winger, and gave Naughton a torrid time .
This all points to how Rodgers would love to see a team fashioned straight from his blueprint playing high tempo pressing football ,both
innovative and spearheaded by the incomparable Suarez.

Henderson's time has come.
