then again its hardly surprising watching england (at any level) is like watching paint dry when you have the likes of pearce and hodgson calling the shots.
you`d be hard pressed to find a pair of more uninspiring managers.

agreed...
i'd rather watch paint dry...

U21 football isnt as good as it is in Germany and Spain. Countries which are producing great talent precisely for that reason. I didnt think the lads played too bad to be honest. Theyre getting a bit of a bashing but considering they had no Danny Rose, No Wilfried Zaha and NO Thomas ince they didnt do too badly. I think alot of the lads think their isnt much point and that they wont be picked for the full side simply because their name isnt Gerrard,Rooney or Lampard.

It was great to see Hendo Shelvey and Robinson get a game and i Actually thought Robbo had a good game.

Was in the stadium Yesterday ,a chance to watch 4 of our lads play ,can't say they left an impression.
I thought Jonjo looked detached and not focused ,Hendo not much impact but a lot of hard work ,Robbo still not accounted for and Borini wasted his half chance...The Guys are fit i'll give them that ,performance...Oh well..

after we got beat by israel pearce flipped out and ripped the players to the press, he said wisdom was the only player in the entire squad that showed any guts and he reckons wisdom should be the captain for the next 2 years.
hendo and shelvey hardly did a tap in the 3 games, they had awful tournaments, especially considering how well they`d been playing for the U21`s in the lead up to the tournament.

Something wasnt right within the team - I can't understand why we don't send every possible player we can - including the guys who have had full call ups like Oxlade etc

Clubs in this country don't really care about the international stage and vice versa. Until a drastic change between the clubs and the FA happens things won't change

i dont want to see any changes benny mainly because i couldnt give a fv.ck about the national side, the only reason i`m even remotely interested is because there`s usually a couple of our players in there and i like to see them do well but i`d hate to see a situation where international football takes precedence over club football.
it`s bad enough as it is with all the stupid international friendlies breaking the season up but imagine if they start reducing the number of league games, having mid winter breaks and having extra training camps etc so players can supposedly get to tournaments in better shape..........the domestic game would become so stop start it would be ruined.
if it was up to me i`d go the other way, i think all international games should be moved to a period either before the season starts or after it`s ended so they dont interfere with the domestic program.
watching england is boring as f##k, it literally sends you to sleep.

I agree with those sentiments

I'm worried that the FA are going to do something stupid soon in regards player quotas etc to try and encourage more English players to play in the Prem !

yeah i heard someone on the radio today talking about wanting to bring in legislation which would require every team in the prem to have a minimum of 5 english players. luckily the clubs have too much power so that wont happen.
there`s not even a groundswell of public opinion to bring in measures to help the national side, everyone knows international football is shyte, 95% of international matches are boring cagey affairs and whenever england are involved that figure goes up to 100%.

What we don't need to for FA to involve FIFA and UEFA etc

When you do look at leagues abroad there are a lot of home players in the top teams. It's something the FA want to see

the F.A  might want to see it but the premier league dont, the prem is basically a world league and thats part of it`s appeal abroad.
i read something the other week that said give or take there`s about 200 sovereign countries on the planet and about 180 of them show premier league football.

Yeah the prem league is a very big animal right now - it does control the game here at the moment. And it's all money driven now.

I fear though that it may start to become a bit too big for it boots and the appeal with other leagues may start to increase. BT took a massive risk with the deal they struck with the Prem. I could see it falling flat on its face with clubs taking a hit.

He was really impressive yesterday.. like you say, his energy levels helped him defend from midfield with Gerrard and Lucas, and also support the attacking plays.
He could have had 3 goals yesterday.

he should have scored yesterday when coutinho put him through in the first half but he was unlucky with the effort that hit the post in the second stanza.
what i like about him though is his energy, whenever he plays we actually look like a pressing team.
