Spot on mate! John W Henry and Brendan Rodgers have both handled this brilliantly IMO, I think the club's in good hands.

Good. Let's hope this ridiculous saga is behind us. Very pleased with Henry here. There is a good argument for selling an unhappy player, so I'm surprised Henry has so categorically said no, but when I look at the big picture I am very happy.

There is a clear message here. We will not be held to ransom, and we will not strengthen a rival for the sake of money. I believe this message to the rest of the footballing world is worth the financial risks of keeping an unhappy player around.

It's the same as the time when Gerrard was injured and we actually won more games without him than we did when he played.

When Suarez was out banned Sturridge flourished in the middle with Downing and Coutinho supporting him. With Suarez playing there is a bit of a dilemma of where to play them in that front 3, with one of them having to drop wide a lot. At times it looked clumsy

  you don't give up now do you? You're like a propaganda machine on here...

Wow that is clutching at straws. Try better next time.

I'm not trying at all... You're quite a brainwashing machine on here

Best wrap the deals up soon - 8 days until the season starts

yeah, ideally you`d want any new signings in before the season starts but the window is open until the beginning of september, it`s not the end of the world if they miss the first few weeks of the season, the season doesnt end until next summer and this one isnt over yet, there`s plenty of time for them to make an impact.

After the start we had last season and the fixtures we have this season it's vital if we want to even have a sniff at top 4 we need a great start and to have everything in place for the first game of the season - there is still the gaps and the problems from last season and we play the team that will take advantage of those problem areas - Stoke. The speech from Henry doesn't change our squad/first team still being weaker than 5 other teams in the prem and Suarez staying doesnt change that. We need quality into the team to get CL. And this Suarez situation isn't ended yet - still plenty of time left yet for some more twists.

yeah yeah yeah...  ... why are you so afraid? O ye of little faith!

A view from the *****(nal) end:
So where does that leave Arsenal?. Nine days until the season starts and no sign of any top quality signings. Even though it’s still not over yet, but it is time we realize the facts we’ve not signed Jovetic, we’ve not signed Higuain and now we probably won’t sign Suarez as well. That leaves just Rooney, and it is probably time that Arsene Wenger made an official offer for the England talisman because United will surely prefer selling him to us than to Chelsea.

While Arsene Wenger gets the blame for Arsenal’s inability to sign players this summer, it is clear that Ivan Gazidis handles the negotiations from Arsenal’s end. It was Gazidis who dropped the ball on Higuain. It is Gazidis whose inability to close deals is what is really hurting the Gunners in the transfer market.

Arsenal have wasted enough time on Suarez and now it’s time to move on. They look short in almost every department and with no major signings till now it seems that we will again get those old stupid excuses from the board again. Gooners get ready to see Arsenal compete for top four AGAIN.

What say fans?

Henry's stance is paying dividends! all power to his elbow!

I hate I told you so fkrs but today I'll make an exception. Yesterday, before John Henry announced that Suarez was going nowhere,  some posters were advocating that a move to Arsenal would not be a bad thing and I totally disagreed. The suggestion is as idiotic as Arsenal selling Van Persie to Manchester United which ultimately gave them another title. Selling a very sulky poor performing Torres to Chelsea was a different matter entirely.  I'm just thankful that we have owners and a manager that have the determination to stand their ground and remind people what Liverpool FC is all about. It's just a shame that some supporters are too thick or incapable of realising that.

Suárez is going nowhere, says Liverpool's owner John W Henry

• Move to Arsenal would be 'ludicrous', owner adds
• It is too late in the day for a deal, says Henry

ok say the club now sticks to its guns and we don't sell him,   what do we do with Suarez , I saw on the sky some think he will go on strike and will not play for us or go to court saying we are trying to stop him from working.

how are us fans going to feel about him if he plays........are we going to be on his back every time he don't get a goal and say he is not trying?

isn't it in his blood though to do his best? I get the impression once he crosses that white line he's on one. I think he'll be professional enough to put in a shift should he still be with us.

Once the transfer window closes probably. I dont think Suarez is the type to play anything but 100%.
I dont think the transfer saga is over though, and i wonder how this will affect the team.

That is why removing him from the squad now is the right thing. Once the transfer window is over, if he is still here he can rejoin the squad but until then he keeps well away.

Selling him to Arsenal, our main rival is a BIG PROBLEM
Having Luis still in our payroll is a SMALLER PROBLEM

I think his place in the squad has become untenable at this point.

1st he wanted to leave because of the "media" and it would be hard to say no to Madrid.  He said these things to try get out of our club while keeping the fans happy.  Soon it became clear that Madrid weren't that pushed on him.

Then he went further and admitted he wanted to leave for a CL club and is even prepared to leave us for Arsenal!  Who haven't even won a trophy in almost a decade.

When we rejected their bottom of the barrel offer he then threw his toys out of the pram and ran to the premier league to step in.

This is a player who has been suspended for (i think) 14 games so far in his short time with us, with 6 more to go.
Its time for us to get rid.

If he stays, I can only imagine his behaviour on the field getting worse.
