we trot the line its not about money and seen as we are prepared to take a massive hit on downing we can take a hit on the profit from suarez. real wont pay that for him but will stretch to 35 and so might a few others at that price. could end up in the region of 38 if we are lucky.
if he goes to arsenal then its all about the money and we are nothing but a feeder club.

Hand in a transfer request and stop looking for loyal bonuses when you're clearly not loyal.

I've defended this guy the same way I defended Torres because in my heart I felt like they wanted to be here... players don't respect the club anymore and use us as a stepping stone, it frustrates the hell outta me.

Kuyt, Carra, Gerrard, Agger, Lucas - players with honour and are/were proud to play for our great club.

Suarez will never be a hero, and just like Torres he will ruin what could potentially be a great legacy.

I don't think Madrid will touch him tbh - if they really wanted him then we would have seen something about any interest. Napoli could have a look but I think the price tag will be low

great stuff, henry, werner and rodgers should be applauded for taking such a hardline stance.

i really dont think rodgers or the club will back track on a no sale to arsenal anyway and as you say no one else even seems to be interested but something will have to be done with him.
he refused to play in the last 2 games then used that time to blab to the press. thats enough for me and i dont think i want to ever see him in a lfc jersey again, sure he is quality but his time is up here.
we wont put him in the reserves and he wont give it his all and will try all this in jan again if made stay. i posted this about a week ago takin the p!$$ about him being allowed to go on loan but maybe this might end up being the best option. if no sale can be reached loan him out with an option to buy for 35 next season if he plays more than 15 games.

Honestly the only thing that has changed is the club. All midtable clubs are stepping stones for the best players.

Yep that's exactly the response I expected from Rodgers and the owners.  :buttrock  :buttrock

This should be the wake up call they need to realise that they need to roll up their sleaves and work GOD DAMN harder to get this club back to where it belongs.

As for this despicable c**t we should be selling him abroad as quickly as possible, don't give a s**t who to as long as it over 40m and NOT Arsenal.

I  dont have to know what been said behind closed doors to cast Suarez as villian

Blathering on about wanting to leave the club and England because of media and now desperate to get to Arsenal, carrying on like a spoilt child on tour, whinging about CL when his personal actions has costs us in term of prestige, gametime and support is more then enough for me thank you

Sadly that ended a long time ago when it became more of a business, and a toy for the super rich.

I love how the club is handling this but I think we should just let him f*ck off to Arsenal. He'll never play for us, I think that much is clear. The way I see it we have two options, either sell him and get the money and sign replacements or throw him to the reserves and get no money from him while he still doesn't play for us. I'd much rather prefer the first option. I too would like us to sell him abroad, but the thing is, no one from abroad wants him.
I really don't see a better option. We should just wait for him to hand in a transfer request. The c*nt shouldn't be getting any "loyalty" bonuses.

His latest comments are just the most recent in a long line of actions that have caused us problems. Whether it's his ill-discipline or unsportsmanlike behaviour on the pitch or the way he's angled for a move this summer by maintaining an open line to the media, in spite of all that the club did to support and defend him through these times, the guy has proven himself a serial recidivist and, frankly, an ungrateful little c..t who clearly isn't ingrained with some of the core values that made this club great and which the manager has to his credit today come out to defend. All of this makes it that much harder for us to get a price acceptable for a player who with a reasonably level head would be fetching £60m+ in today's market but that is Suarez's doing. The best we can do is to continue to hold firm, reject out of hand any offers from clubs like Arsenal, be at our most resourceful in trying to get the best deal we can and in the meantime get our own targets in order so we're not left high and dry come the end of the window.

Absolutely. And I think I speak for us all when I say, Feck you Suarez. Lousy b@stard has had the best of us defending him and he repays us with this attitude.

We sell him for 50 million or he rots in the reserves, personally, I hope we let him rot.

AT LAST we have got a manager who is prepared to stand up to a player, instead of the player s.hitting all over the club. Put the t,wat in the reserves and let him rot
