Gentleman's agreements ay.. What about a gentleman's performance ay 'Luis', missing 18 games through ridiculous situations, that is half a season. So yes you gave it your all, half a season out .. that really is the crux of it, been benched too much for the wrong reasons
Dragging our club through the mud...
consign him to the reserves.... that'll show him  :veryangry

So by refusing to play, can we fine the sh1t out of this rat already? I don't see why we should be paying his weekly ransom while he's throwing a tantrum

I wish football was still a game, played my gentleman :([/quote]

It still is, though sewers rats have infiltrated the game in certain quarters. So, we need to bring in the the traps to stop them. Think there is a trap in the reserves. Once captured, it takes a year to get out, unless there is intervention from far afield with a £55 - £60m fee (in cash of course, upfront.)

In the point of shoving a player to the reserves - I think there was something on 5live where clubs can't do that anymore - something about deny an opportunity or something PC restriction of trade ***** . If he is shoved to the reserves he can cancel his contract after 6 months I think it is

Not sure if its PFA - more European Court Laws or some rubbish - players with senior contracts can't just be shoved in the reserves for a season as punishment

New breaking news about Suarez is to be released after 10 on the Telegraph Website apparently

Reckon it's a transfer request

That's kind of my point. We're all bound by PC laws. Football was free of it. Those who played it new where the lines in the sand were. There'd be no courts, no human rights. Just football. Now that buisness and money are so heavily involved, and those such as our very own owners and others who are pumping millions upon millions into the game, it's inevitable that these other elements such as human rights will come into the game. For that reason, if the reserves is detrimental to Suarez' personal interests and future standings and earnings, he will have a case.

At the end if the day though, he can hand in a transfer request. He's clearly doing everything to leave except asking, so he can squeeze his loyalty bonus from us. Read it all in black and white and these f***ing lawyers will find a case. It's what they're paid to do.

As for loyalty, if Suarez gets his way with this, then the word will mean nothing.

Suarez really is a wally. Madrid were always going to go for Bale this summer so his best bet was to keep quiet, get on with it next season, have a good world cup and Real and the other big boys would be back in for him next summer. Instead his fooked himself up by pushing for a move and alienating himself with the clubs and fans. All his got left now is Arsenal, a club who celebrate coming 4th as though they have won the league. Who knows, other clubs come may come into it but I don't see to many with the clout to get him.

He must be hoping Bale to Madrid doesn't happen so they switch their attention to him. After the backing we have given him and especially King Kenny putting his neck on the line for this clown, it really is a kick in the teeth. I just want us to make sure we get a huge fee for him and let's improve the squad with some real quality and not just potential and lets move on. He doesn't want to be here and at the end of the day we are bigger than one player.

a transfer request changes nothing. the club can just reject it.

suarez is fundamentally screwed. the guardian are running the story that he's been told to train away from the rest of the squad.

The Times

@TonyBarretTimes: Looks like the PFA believe Liverpool's interpretation of Suarez's clause is correct. Interesting.

@TonyBarretTimes: Gordon Taylor: "It does not say the club has to sell. It quite clearly states £40million is a minimum offer for discussions."

Just get rid of him - the guy is a disgrace and shouldn't wear the shirt

Sell him to Arsenal then being in some quality players.

why in the world should the club sell him to arsenal? Seriously?

Selling him to Arsenal would be a huge mistake, i agree we should get rid but not to a direct rival. Tell him hes going abroad or hes staying put, we need to stick to our guns to ensure we get a big price for him
