Which question ? The one about winning the title within 3 summers - buy quality players funded by the owners own money as they are all billionaires. Then have a top quality manager mould them together.
2 out of the last three title winners have done it that way.

Downing and Carroll were absolutely shocking buys. They were never good enough for where we want to be and to make matters worse we had our pants pulled down with the fees paid for them. Henderson has potential but was nowhere near worth the money we paid for him.
Likewise Borini showed me nothing last season that he will make it at us. Again we paid over the odd's for Allen. He showed glimpses of what he can do but he is not worth £15m imo. Sturridge and Coutinho look like bargains and although they help counter some of the bad business we have done, overall we have had an absolute shocker when it comes to incomings - buying players who are not good enough combined with playing over the top fees.
We just haven't shown any shrewdness or guile in the market. The comparison with Spurs is a good one. A club who are not in the CL but they managed to sign 2 central midfielder in Dembele and Paulinho for around £32m combined while we went and signed Allen and Henderson for a total of £35m. I know which pair I'd rather have in our midfield

The Spurs squad looks fully prepared to get CL - they might have a problem with Vertonghon - he might be out for six months ( not sure why they sold Caulker though ).
Dempsey did ok , Siggurdsson didn't get going and same with Holtby.

I wouldn't be so quick to praise Spurs mate.
Dembele I agree is quality and they got a good deal there. Likewise Vertonghen.
Paulinho was a lot of money and considering he bombed when he tried his luck in Europe before, I don't think he's a guaranteed success in England. I might be wrong. But he hasn't kicked a ball for them yet so can't be called a good signing.
Then there's the 26 million they've just spent on a striker who turns 29 this season and who again is unproven in this league. I predict that's going to prove a bad buy, but we'll see.
Some of AVB's other signings have been average to poor. Dempsey was ok (but now sold), while Holtby, Sigurdssson and Lloris I don't think are upgrades on what they already had.
It was their transfer dealings pre-AVB that put them in such a strong position - Friedel, Parker, Modric, Bale, Defoe, Gallas, Dawson, Van der Vaart and Lennon were/are all great value for money. I think AVB is a decent manager but he inherited a strong squad and I'm yet to be convinced by his transfer dealings since he came in. Redknapp doesn't get enough credit for the job he did there - they were fighting relegation when he came in and he also converted Bale from a left back into one of the best attacking players in world football.
