The Reds have already rejected two offers this summer from Arsenal for the striker, with the second believed to be £1 above the £40m mark.
However, Rodgers is convinced his player is worth at least double that amount and points towards Real Madrid's move for the Tottenham winger as indication of the type of money he would be seeking.
The Northern Irishman said: "Every player has a valuation but you have to look at the market. With Gareth Bale they are talking about £100m and Gareth Bale and Luis Suarez were arguably the two best players in the Premier League last season.
"You can't say that Gareth Bale is valued at over 100 per cent more. We are a club with strong beliefs in what we are doing and nobody will be moving out of here.
"There is, of course, a point where you only want players who are totally 100 per cent committed to being here and I have spoken to Luis countless times over the course of the summer.
"Speculation can be difficult for players but he is back training and back working. The more he is around the group here, the more he is around the great support here, the more he will understand."

it`s that caveat he threw in about only wanting players who are 100% committed to the club thats got me worried, thats why i think he`ll leave, we arent the type of club to keep players who dont want to be here.
if he does go i hope the club arent stupid enough to sell him to one of our direct rivals.

I feel he's saying that because he's also saying we want to keep him. We only keep players that are 100% committed, and we want to keep him, so he's 100% committed.
I'm not saying he's 100% committed, but I think that's the message BR is trying to get across.

I both agree and disagree with your stance -- On one hand, any player(s) that do not put in 100% for the privilege of wearing the read shirt, while being paid handsomely and as a professional sportsman in general need to be rid of. But then again if we have pea for the size of our balls, then every managers, greedy players and their agents will want to bully or to engineer an angle to force a move for more money at every transfer window.
I said if he refuses to play under contract or if he is stupid enough to take the club to the court, then I say throw him with the reserve and make him sit and rot during this World Cup year...this is no time to take the easy way out and the club really need to grow some really big balls and be smarter in our dealings. I looked at how Daniel Levy knew Real is after Bale and he played hardball and making sure every media print that he is not selling , thus hiking the price tag to a ridiculous level. Imagine we being bullied by Arsenal and Suarez in this deal and we selling our best player to a close rival for a mere £40,000,001, we will be the laughing stock for years to come

Exactly.
First of all I'm not convinced he would take us court knowing that there is almost a certain chance he will lose.
Second as mentioned if he is stupid enough to break his contract by either not playing or pushing things through the courts (where the outcome is inevitable), then he can sit him in the reserves. We should under no circumstances bullied by a player or club to sell, if we do we might as well shut down the club right now.
Thirdly if Bale does go for this stupid reported amount of 100m, then that instantly should be the price tag slapped on Suarez for any club.
As for the gooners they can get f**ked for all I care, hopefully the silly f**kers get knocked out in the CL playoffs.

If he is keen to go I don't really see the point In keeping him as long as we get what we value him at
One thing i dont want to see is he sees out his ban as a Liverpool player and then come January transfer.
This all comes out in boil again an as non cup tied player he could chased by other League rivals other then Arsenal who are in CL
