there`s no guts or fight in our management, could you see a firebrand like shankly or even ferguson selling their best player to a direct rival? look at the ridiculous lengths ferguson was willing to go to stop a bit part player like heinze signing for us, never mind one of the best players in the world.
the likes of ferguson and shankly were men that fought against the inevitable and through sheer weight of personality changed the odds in their favour.
at the moment we`ve got too many people in charge who just go with the flow.
those 95,000 fans in melbourne singing ynwa and those 88,000 fans in indonesia deserve a better team than a fvcking feeder club to arsenal.
as i said that £50m may as well be 30 pieces of silver, imo the moment we sell our best player to arsenal the `house that shankly built` will have been betrayed.

Seriously mate ,you honestly expect us to retain a player that belittles this club every time he opens his mouth ? Shankly would have acted
swifter and more potently than Polonium poisoning in booting his disrespectful derrière out of this glorious club.

Good point. Don't know about "Polonium poisoning in booting his disrespectful derrière" but share the sentiments all the same.  :D

your not getting me mate, i couldnt give a ***** if suarez goes infact i want him to leave but under no circumstances should we be strengthening a direct RIVAL.
they can sell him abroad for £5m for all i care, but no way should we be making any club in england stronger.

I think the real winners in this will be Real Madrid  :glare: I don't think LFC would ideally sell to Arsenal do you? I think we'll end up inflating our asking price to Arsenal to the extent that they'll walk away, Madrid will come in at the last minute and bid 30 Million and he'll be off. This maybe more hope on my part but I can see this being played out too.

The 3 last club we should sell a player to in no particular order is Arsenal, Spurs and the blueshite.
I may deislike other teams even more but we aren't competing with them for the next few years anyway.
Arsenal will never pay 55 million and I would be extremly shocked if proved otherwise as ***** is the most penny pinching club there is always looking for bargains.
Only way he leaves(and it looks like only Arsenal are really in for him) is the ugly way with Arsenal at most bidding 45 million and Suarez taking it to court/transfer request, spitting his dummy etc.

Suarez is a quality player but there is absolutely no doubt he has a screw loose.

We signed him for just over 20 mil, have got a couple of good seasons out of him and if we manage to sell him for around the 50 mil mark then adios amigo.  He doesn't want to be here and after his recent behaviour including his body language in the Melbourne game, I don't want him to be here either.  I have no confidence that he'll give us 100% if he stays and we'll probably see his value depreciate if we keep him.

He lives in his own world where it's all about him - he didn't realise 'negrito' was offensive, he admits diving v Stoke and he describes biting Ivanovic as a reflex reaction.  That's not a fu.cking normal reaction where I'm from.  In the face of all this we still supported him. probably against our better judgement, because he wore the red shirt.  As far as I'm concerned he can fu.ck off now, the ungrateful little git.

First he wanted out because the bad press was affecting his family, but all of a sudden when Madrid don't come in for him he wants out because he wants CL.  And to boot he's willing to go to a club who don't really have any more ambition than us, they just have more consistency because a great manager has been there so long.

Best case scenario for me is Arsenal or whoever (I don't really care now) put in a 50 mil bid within the next week and he goes.  I trust Rodgers to reinvest wisely, he's not the naïve novice that some our fans regard him as.

And one last thing - if a player wants to go he wants to go, it's not that we as a club lack ambition.  FFS its not that long ago we spent 30 mil on a player, the fact he turned out average to cr.ap isn't the point.  Lets not kid ourselves that we'd never have sold a marquee player who wanted to go.... Keegan (Hamburg), Souness (Sampdoria) and Rush (Juve) were all sold at the peak of their powers during the glory days, it's not a modern phenomenon.

And if Suarez goes to Arsenal I'd fu.cking love to watch us knock them out of the top 4 and see him angling for a move to Madrid again next summer.  Bring it on.  YNWA

if we sell suarez to arsenal this will be the second successive season thats over before a ball is even kicked, not a great record for rodgers that.
i thought last seasons transfer window was bad but at least that was down to genuine ***** ups, this one would be basically akin to committing footballing suicide.

do you think arsenal would sell us wilshire or cazorla john? no me neither, so why should we sell them suarez?
why is it that out of all the high profile players in this country linked with a move (bale, rooney, suarez etc) that suarez looks like the one most likely to happen?
we are a selling club now imo, our owners like the idea of making big profits on players whoever they are.

Would it not be possible to write  'no sale to another English club' into a contract and stop all this shyte.

They seems to add some kak anyway like you can talk to a club when this bid hits X but cannot sign until
they meet our valuation.

At least put stuff in that protects the club not only from losing a player on the cheap but also from losing
them to a rival.

I don't mind losing any player particularly but its very bad news when its your main man to a competitor
in our own domestic league.

From @MostarLFC timeline on twitter

A Journalist of Uruguay (@MartinCharquero) text a SMS for Luis Suarez: "Luis, are you reading newspapers?"

The answer was: "Yes, sometimes, and I laugh a lot about the things they invent. I'm a Liverpool player"

More of Luis: "I'm not stupid, I need to leave England. Here I can't live any more in a comfortably way."

I'm struggling to understand the logic of your argument. Arsenal sold Van Persie to Man United who then win the league largely due to the number of goals Van Persie scored. Arsenal scraped 4th place as a result of Spurs ineptitude. The money they sold Van Persie for would have looked very sad if they hadn't qualified for the CL. To say Arsenal wouldn't sell their best players to a rival team is simply not the case. Selling Van Persie has given Arsenal the wake up call they have needed for years. Just how serious they are about Suarez I don't know. I wouldn't have thought that Suarez was the sort of player Wenger would want around the dressing room. Let's face it Luis is a wonderful player but he is a few cans short of the full crate !!!  :grinning:

Been a selling club for since the day Alonso left - since then we have gone downhill - Suarez will want to go to Arsenal because he will see it as a step up from us - its not rocket science to see the reason why as well. Are we really a rival to them ? we havent been near them in 4 season now i think it is. Arsenal wont sell their top players to us because their top players wont want to step out of the CL. Those 5 clubs are currently seen by players are a step up from us. Thats the reality. If Arsenal pay the fee he will go and he will play CL footy and will move them forward as a club. We havent moved anywhere since he arrived.
