Luis Suarez signs for Barcelona

International Football/Football World Wide - General Discussion

If Arsenal meet the 50Mil fee them sell him. Of course no one wants to see him go to another English side but that's just the way it is and aside from them there isn't any real interest elsewhere. Also Arsenl are not really our rivals. If we were still in the top 4 maybe but we are some way off behind them so all this talk of selling to a rival is *****.

Which fact is that ? Yes I want him sold now - believe we can get some real quality into the team with money from his sale. Believe he is now more hassle than its worth - sell up and rebuild.

if we sell him to arsenal then this club is finished as a top club.
any top club can go through a bad few seasons but as long as you aim high and stay ambitious (like united did when they were finishing 11th and 13th under ferguson) then you`re still a top club
but once you start selling your best players to your rivals then it`s over.

we are struggling to attract top players as it is, that situation is hardly going to get better if suarez leaves.

Hence why we need to pay more wages - we can't do it on the cheap

Really doesn't matter. He is never going to be commited so it's either this summer or the next and not someone to build the team around anyway.

With Reina's wage off the books they may even offer him an improved contract like the mancs
did with Rooney.

You just never know in football.

And what a wonderful message it would  send to the rest of the team if it did happen

Don't be so naive. That sort of thing has been happening for years,
even here. You don't think that back when Gerrard got a big payrise and renegotiated his contract the club didn't look around for savings to be made elsewhere. Of course they did.

Well Mr World wise Wisdom SCS I dont remember Stevie Gerrard carrying on the media circus that Suarez has been doing for last few weeks.

Whose being naive now if you think FSG would stand for that message being sent out

If Suarez signs a new contract to give him more money then the intent from the owners to spend big wages is good
