With that in mind there`s not a chance I would sell to them, Real will know the position we are in so I`m not surprised their bidding lower.
We should make it clear we will not sell to another prem side and if anyone else wants him it`s 40m take it or leave it. As things stand we would be better off with him in the ressies than have him playing at arsenal as there the team we are looking to get ahead of. We cant be a feeder club for the cl sides or nothing will ever change.

As far as I`m concerned our chances of a cl finish go from slim to absolute zero if we sell to arsenal, regardless of how we spend the money. We cant give them the best player in the league and expect to get ahead of them.

Are you saying that you would be happy to keep an unhappy player for the sake of £5 million or £10 million rather than negotiate with a buying club so that we can the funds in to strengthen the team? As for replacements I've already stated about the players we have. Coutinho is equally if not more effective in the role behind the main striker because he's less selfish and more creative.
We've bought Aspas and Alberto this summer. If Asapas gets into double figures in the premiership, Borini may chip in with a few more and Sturridge gets at least 20 in the premiership I'm not sure that we need another striker. We have Ibe and Sterling coming through. If Downing stays he could continue to improve and chip in with a few more. I could see someone like Eriksen coming in to give us more depth and goals from midfield and possibly at least one defender.
I'm not sure what players you have in mind in terms of replacements of Suarez's quality, who would join us at the moment. Unlike when Torres left I see the money spent from a Suarez sale as on improving the group as the manager has stated rather than on the quality of another Suarez.

If Arsenal don't get Suarez they will get someone of the same stature - they are the last of the top 5 to start spending but they are showing intent. The gap to the top 5 will grow this I believe.

what's that to negotiate? there is a contract that stipulate the trigger point for Suarez to move to another club will be 40M, and selling to another English club will need to be smart and demand well over 45M or he can bugger off elsewhere. The moment we are willing to accept other clubs lowballing us, then everyone will know we have soft balls and when will it ends? this is precisely the time our CEO earn his money...by not blinking and being smart on the negotiating table.
When you have been out there in the cut throat business world, you'll understand what I mean, until then stop making silly suggestions.
And to think that Aspas, Ibe, Alberto, Borini, Downing, Coutinho and Sturridge can lead us to Champions League??? LOL and you are saying this without seeing half of those in action...you need to change your medication, soon!
