Am beginning to hate Suarez now. I never thought for one minute that he would leave. I admit I was woefully wrong. So now instead of fooking the Club,FSG a fans about.So just pack  your bags pick your club and go. Preferably tomorrow

Arsenal must offer £40million for Luis Suarez to get Liverpool to even consider selling him.

And the Gunners are set to increase their bid for the controversial striker after having a £30m offer flatly rejected last week.

The Reds' position remains that they do not want to sell the unsettled Uruguayan - who has also attracted interest from Chelsea and been linked with Real Madrid, Napoli and Bayern Munich - despite his claims that he is keen to go.

However, as with their then-star striker Fernando Torres in 2011, Liverpool know every player has his price.

They may be prepared to sit down with the Gunners for negotiations if the Londoners put £40m on the table.

The odds are still against Arsenal, though - it is understood Suarez would prefer to leave Britain, with Spanish giants Real his stated first choice.



Liverpool would also want the 26-year-old to hand in a transfer request, to show the Anfield giants' fans that the club have done all they can to keep him.

Arsenal are focusing their efforts on Suarez because their efforts to land Gonzalo Higuain - ironically, a player the Uruguayan could replace in the Real squad - are faltering.

The Gunners felt they might to be able to buy the Argentina international for £23m, but Real want much more than that.

In addition, Real's new coach Carlo Ancelotti is keen for Higuain to stay and be part of his first-team plans.

One forward who has left the Bernabeu is Jose Callejon - sold to Italians Napoli as they prepare to lose Edinson Cavani to Paris Saint-Germain.

* FULHAM are eyeing up Liverpool's OTHER Uruguay international - defender Sebastian Coates. Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is prepared to sell as the 22-year-old has failed to make an impact in two years at Anfield.

That's interesting as it will put pressure on RM to sign a big name which means they could come back for Suarez. Ditto Chelsea come to think of it.

I think Rodgers recent comments about finishing squad improvements and now focussing on starting XI improvements is an indication that he intends to reuse the Suarez sale money. We have said before that any funding between £40-£50M could buy us 2 or 3 real quality improvements to the starting XI.

I honestly could see us making a move for Benteke if Suarez leaves, can't Villa getting more than £20M for him.

Would an apology really satisfy the majority of fans,the club and the owners? I'm not sure that it would.The fans may be prepared to forgive and forget but the club and the owners are a very different matter.Luis by his very existence at LFC has caused the club a massive amount of embarrassment, and I don't hold him totally responsible for all of it.However the  biting (nibble) incident was the last straw and very difficult for any fan to sensibly defend.The point is that if Luis had stayed at Ajax we would not have become a virtual laughing stock to feed the worlds media a constant five course meal of back page delicacies !!

We have the opportunity to make a serious profit and move on. Whoever is pulling the strings of the puppet that Luis has become is making the task of selling him a very easy job for the club.If Suarez wanted to stay and had kept his mouth firmly shut it would be a disastrous move for the club to sell him.The fans would be understandably outraged.Suarez is now being seen as the bad guy and more and more fans are taking the view that the sooner he goes the better.Has any of this been manufactured by the club? Are they so fed up with him that they want to get rid but without looking like a club that is prepared to sell one of their best players? Just a thought.

As people have quite rightly pointed out, we've become a midtable club for the last few seasons and we don't have much to spend in terms of netspend at least. 

When you're out of the CL, can't spend huge on transfer fees or wages, sometimes the best way to get back towards the top is to cash in on a star player and reinvest the money wisely.. something we've failed miserably at in the past.

If Suarez does go, we need to make sure the money is spent on 2 or 3 really quality players to improve the first 11.  If we do that we can survive without him although we'll still miss his individual brilliance.

Would BR really look at Benteke ? A big burly striker who roams up front on his own - he isn't Carroll but he isn't far away from that type.

2-3 quality players for £40-50mil is what we need but if we fund them with the sale of Suarez then we are sale to buy and again the question is - where is our money.

If BR is given £40-50mil to spend - it will be interesting to see the type of player he goes for

I don't think we will try to sign Benteke if Suarez leaves. In view of the attacking signings that have already joined so far and with the speculation about Mikhataran (that didn't come to anything) I think we are more likely to try and sign attacking players who can play in midfield or up front.

If Suarez goes Sturridge will be our main striker this season with Aspas and Borini as back up or in one of the front three positions in different matches. The Suarez money will probably be spent on another defender and another midfield/wide player type who can also get forward and score goals to add to the depth.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has revealed he is in 'constant communication' with star striker Luis Suarez and remains hopeful he will remain at Anfield.

Suarez has been strongly linked with a move away from Merseyside this summer after repeatedly citing his unhappiness at his treatment by the press and the FA in England.

The Uruguay international admitted he would be tempted by a move to Real Madrid, but Liverpool have always insisted he is not for sale and that they expect him to honour his contract, which runs until the summer of 2016.

There were reports that Arsenal had seen a bid turned down by their Premier League rivals, while Chelsea are the latest team to be linked with Suarez, but Rodgers insists the situation over the controversial forward's future has not changed.

"We are in constant communication. He has got three years left on his contract, we don't want to sell him, and we hope everything will be fine for the summer."

The Reds boss told talkSPORT: "We communicate in some way nearly every day either through text or conversations. Over the course of the last few months and towards the end of the season there has been a lot of speculation with Luis, but the fact is it remains the same.

"We value the player. He had a terrific season for us last year and showed his qualities. Since then I've been in communication with him through texts and conversations on the phone and it [the situation] is pretty much the same. He is a valued player. He is an absolute magician on the field.

"Luis is a real competitor, a real winner. He wants Liverpool to do so well but, like every player, every manager, and more importantly every football club, they want to be working at the very highest level.

"At the minute he is on a break, he is relaxing with his family. We are in constant communication. He has got three years left on his contract, we don't want to sell him, and we hope everything will be fine for the summer.

"We want to bring in few more players to reinforce the group and we think we can put up a real fight next season."

this may be a bit optimistic but maybe this suarez situation will force fsg`s hand, it may make them realise that if they want to keep top players at the club then they have to show ambition in the transfer market, top players wont hang around and let their careers drift waiting for a clubs youth policy to pay dividends.
players in their mid to late 20`s prime arent interested about what happens in 4 or 5 years time, they only care about the here and now.
how many top players have bailed out of arsenal over the past decade? just as wenger thinks he`s getting close to putting together a good side another one goes and sets them back.
thats what will happen here too, this summer it`s suarez but next summer it will be coutinho, the summer after that it will be sturridge etc etc.
whats the use in building for the future if every summer you take 2 steps back?
i doubt its the case but wouldnt it be great if we brought in 2 starting XI type players as a statement to suarez that he can play in the CL and win things here.

I love how people like to throw out that only American owners try to make profits.  On the other hand, when clubs don't try to make profits, they are looked down upon for being irresponsible and ruining the game by spending too much. 

You've gotta make up your mind on what you want... At least our owner are about profit through success.  We could be like so many other clubs who sell off their decent players as soon as they make a profit on them, but we don't, we try to hold onto ours.

The Americans are not the only ones who want to make a profit. The Americans want to make a lot lot lot more than the rest why?? Because they are GREEDY B.ASTARDS.

That's quite an argument you state there, full of factual evidence.

It's simple.  Be glad we have the owners we do because, as their record has shown, you make the most money when your time is successful.  That's why they've spent so much on players, they do want to make money, but they know the way to do that without facing issues from the fan base is to also have a successful program ran the proper way.

Arsenal has not been owned by any single person until this last season.  The board didn't want to put a lot of money into it because they feared that if things went south, for one they'd lose their investors who'd no longer have faith in the club being a profitable investment, and they also wouldn't have anybody to back up the club with finances.  Now that an American has taken over, look at what they're trying to do.  They're going after players like Higuain, Suarez, Fabregas, and Rooney, players they have either openly stated interest in buying, or have confirmed bids for. They're looking at an entirely different class of player than usual.

Just because we've had greedy American owners in the past doesn't mean every American owner is out to destroy the club in order to make some money. Look at Mike Ashley at Newcastle.  Any time they have developed a player that is worth more than they paid for, and they get an offer for what that player is worth (or much more) they sell him.  He's purely after making money. Our clubs wants to hold onto the talent we develop and have, so be gracious we have owners willing to invest and doing what they can to hold onto the talent we have.
