Luis Suarez signs for Barcelona

He is just below Messi and Ronaldo quality wise. If someone wants him we should demand no less than 60 million pounds. I'm not surprised about him wishing to leave. I hope he goes to another club than Real Madrid though because I can't stand them.

In fairness, what player wouldn't want to play for Real Madrid or Barca? He's only stated the obvious.

If he goes it will because we can't offer him the level if football that he wants.

Just like Torres before hand.

If nothing had happened Madrid would have still come calling and Suarez would still be tempted.

Do you actually read back after youve typed something?
So, after Suarez saying quite clearly that him and his family have suffered from the treatment he has had in this country, you are saying that if none of the incidents which he was vilified for had happened, he would still go to Madrid?

???

Yes that exactly what I'm saying because Madrid offer what we can't and won't in the near future

Torres also said how much he loved Liverpool and would never leave and wouldn't join another club in the prem.

If Suarez leaves it will because he gets an offer that provides him with a chance to play in CL.

Well it's a lot easier than saying, ''I'm sorry guys but Liverpool are a million miles away from the level of Real Madrid at this point in time and at my age I want to be challenging for major trophies, not be stuck in a perennial challenge for fourth".

apparently ballague has tweeted -
i`ll let you know about another liverpool signing tomorrow if i get it confirmed, and i am excited about that one as i am about aspas

then -

that (new) signing confirms the policy of the club, clever potentially good signings, potential being the key word, but exciting nonetheless

and apparently suarez`s brother has tweeted - i know the truth, the bombshell is coming!

But we arent a million miles away from the level of Madrid. I wish people would stop writing us off and making out that were miles behind other teams.
At best we are a couple of players from being a good team, who, on its day can give anyone a game. This "we are years away from challenging" is part of the problem for me. Man U were Fu*king sh'ite this season and without Van Persie would have struggled to win the league.
Man city are more responsible for united being champions than united are.

We were 28 points behind UTD !! That's miles away and if they are "f*cking *****" what exactly does that make us

We are nowhere near the CL - we can't even get into Europa

Madrid are one of the biggest clubs in the world - bigger than us and can offer him what we can't and won't in the near future

I think it would be best if we sell him to Real. They never mind paying top dollars so if there isn't a buy out clause then we could just name our price.

Outside Madrid, the only other clubs outside England that can afford him are Bayern (close to signing Lewandowski, so that doesnt seem to be an option), Monaco (spending big on Falcao so also not an option), and PSG.

Madrid just lost out on Neymar to their closest rivals. They desperately need a forward, and Suarez (for all intents and purposes) is desperate to join them. The best we can do is probably ask for an exchange with one of Benzema/Higuain (depending on the one they'd be willing to give up) moving the other way + some cash...

Calm the f**k down you pack of hyenas.

He hasn't left yet, he was simply stating what any other player in his position would be obviously stating. It would be much worse if he was asked the same question, lied like *cough* *cough* Judas and then left at the 11th hour.

I can't see Real Madrid spending in excess of 90million on just 2 players (Bale and Suarez), which in reality is what they would need to spend MINIMUM if they were going to buy both. If Spurs don't sell Bale, then I truly think we are f**ked because they will come in hard for Suarez and try and get him on the cheap, just like they f**ked us in the past with McManaman, Owen and Alonso. We need to have the ba.l.ls to hold out for 55-60m minimum, anything less and FSG should be hung out to dry.

Anyway this shows you ALL more then ever where we are and the extreme pressure that Rodgers is now under. As I keep saying only bringing in players the likes of Eriksen can save us. I'm sure that if Suarez sees an army of 1m - 3m priced players from relagation fodder teams in Europe, it will only make his decision easier.  :no

Madrid won't spend 90 mill on 2 players ? They reportedly offered Neymar a package worth close to 100mill that he rejected ! If they want the 2 players, which seems to be the case, then they will spend to get them. Either way, we shouldnt accept anything less than 50mill for Suarez and I dont expect Spurs to act any different with bale.
