Unfortunately, I begrudgingly agree. 

10 games IMHO will be the straw that broke the camels back for Suarez. It's spite, it's vendetta, it's draconian and it's blatant victimisation - nothing at all to do with justice.

They make it up as they go along to suit personal agendas, the punishments given to Suarez show that to be clear.

Initially regarding Defoe you have stated that if it's been seen on the pitch by the ref nothing can be done.
You were then informed that wasnt the case with Thatcher - so they can take retrospective action.
The fact that they didnt against Defoe questions how severe they believe the offence to actually be.

Nobody is condoning it, everyone agrees he deserves punsihment. I honestly feel 3 matches should have been enough.
It was a crazy shocking thing to do but he hasnt injured the player, while we dont see things like that on the pitch usually you still have to question the severity of what his actions where.

Also bear in mind the lad has never been sent off in England previously.
He has faced 2 serious charges since being here and been punished in comparison with similar offences heavily.

I dont think that can be disputed do you ?

as the guardian point out bennys tory hero cameron didnt help either, once he had his say on the matter the F.A  had to come down hard on suarez, if the F.A  would have took no action like they did with defoe cameron would have looked stupid.

the ban had to be long enough to make sure Suarez didn't play again this season.  this makes sure Van Persie wins the golden boot.  this enabling them to have another man utd wankfest. it's a corrupt association don't ever forget that.

It takes a very special kind of t.osser that spends three days advocating that Suarez should be punished and then complains that the sentence was too severe. The media sh.itstorm guaranteed that an example would be made of Luis. Massive shame that some of our own so-called supporters felt it necessary to stick the boot in as well.

The 10 match ban was more than what they expected as it would mean Luis would carry them over to the new club but no matter, agenda already accomplished. Luis might not want to do another Torres but Pep and Pere certainly have their own plans and a motivated agent can be very persuasive.

DEVANEY'S RESPONSE - I think you're  actually giving yourself a bit more credit than you deserve. Naive and stupid is exactly what you are if you believe that Suarez's indiscretion was engineered and something that Suarez would have gone along with !! Ffs I despair you'll be suggesting that the aledged bite was engineered by an Asian betting consortium next.

It's called people believing there to be a middle ground

Believing that the act deserved punishment but nowhere near getting 10 games - maximum 5-6 possibly with a few suspended. That way it's a strong punishment without it going too far without justification

So that's why I believe that Suarez did deserve to be punished but that 10 games was way over the top

Wow what a  crazy place this is. You have liverpool fans thinking the ban was the correct descion and others saying Suarez purposely done it to get a transfer when if anything it would stop him moving to the likes of Bayern or Barcelona.

I mentioned this in the past. We have relied on Luis Suarez in the last two seasons very heavily. The man is a fantastic player and the most skillful we have ever had here.

Its about time the fans and Team showed Luis some support. If this biting hadnt happend and luid turned round at the end of the season saying he wanted to Leave people would ask him to show some loyalty. How about we show some loyalty towards Luis and stand by him in his time of need.

Also to the people who want to sell him say we get 50 million for him. There isnt a single person who would be interested in coming here that would even be half as good as Luis.

Its good to see some support from Pepe and Rodgers for Luis or more rage at the length of the ban

So Benny Hill please explain to me...why did the FA deemed Thatcher's act to be serious enough to warrant a overide of the ref's decision but yet only gave him a 8 games ban and here you are... (1) you (foolishly) think if Suarez is booked they would have leave it as that (2) the fact that he has been given >8 games ban means the FA deemed it to be a more serious act than sending someone to hospital (3) in the same breath, then why was it that the very same act by Defoe was not deemed serious enough for the FA to overide the ref's yellow card? Fact is, this is a witch hunt and Luis, plus the fact that he is a LFC player did gave the FA a reason to throw the kitchen sink at him although the punishment was obviously OTT and inconsistent.

Me and many have read your ***** all over this place...fact is no one here is condoning Suarez's act, non of us are proud of this. Yet as a club and as a 40 years LFC supporter I believe we should stand behind our players and let the club do the lecturing and punishing behind the door. The fact that you have been hell bend on hoping that Suarez should get a long ban and that he should be kicked out of the club shows you are no true supporter of this club. Yet at the same time you will scream and moan when we do not have quality on the field. Hell did you used to support Aston Villa or Blackburn Rovers and as soon as the club fell on a bad patch, you burn the jersey and jump to the next club to "support"? You sure fit the type...
