Luis Suarez signs for Barcelona

Football is hilarious these days.

You have players that go in trying to break other players legs, escape any sort of punishment, any sort of articles written about them, any sort of condemnation.

Yet you have a player here who has given another player a cheeky "love bite" and the media circus begins AGAIN.

While all the little lemmings jump for joy including a large part of our "fan base"

???

All other English clubs pale into insignificance!"

What a Sh*t storm.

Lot of comments from fans saying they want to sell Suarez because we are a proud club, proud history, no player is bigger than the club...blah, blah, blah....Suarez may be an idiot but he is a goal scoring idiot. Anyone who wants to sell him after some media pressure is insane.

He will get a ban, pay a fine then we move on

Everybody is looking at how crazy Suarez is and the media will have their field days in the weeks ahead. No one see if these was all a ploy by Luis to engineer his way out of Liverpool and to break off his long term contract by forcing the club's hands and make it unattainable for him to remain in UK. It will also drop his market value down which will pleased his suiters, namely Bayern Munich.

He did that in Holland before he moved here, so what's to say this is not happening again? Food for thought...

I think it is possibly more about the transfer of blood and infecting somebody with a horrible disease.Very unlikely but not impossible. The implications therefore of biting somebody could be fatal. With Suarez's track record he should be more than aware of this.

This is an extract from a responsible website:

Can HIV be transmitted by human bite?
It is very rare, but in specific circumstances HIV can be transmitted by a human bite. In 1997, CDC published findings from a state health department investigation of an incident that suggested blood-to-blood transmission of HIV by a human bite. There have been other rare reports in the medical literature in which HIV appeared to have been transmitted by a human bite. Biting is not a common way of transmitting HIV, in fact, there are numerous reports of bites that did not result in HIV infection. Severe trauma with extensive tissue damage and the presence of blood were reported in each of the instances where transmission was documented or suspected. Bites that do not involve broken skin have no risk for HIV transmission, as intact skin acts as a barrier to HIV transmission.
Summary:
There is no risk from a bite where the skin is not broken.
There is a remote risk of transmission by human bite. All documented cases where transmission did occur included severe trauma with extensive tissue damage and the presence of blood.

Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

The guy needs help - anger management, counselling - call it what you will.
He has bitten TWO players at this stage; he has jumped in on break-a-leg tackles; he swings wildly at opponents when he's encroached upon....
Yes, Luis, grow the fook up. Get some help. You're a genius but this carry-on is out of order, BANG out of order.
Others got punished, as will you. You're making a mockery of yourself and the club.
Cop the fook on and let your feet do the talking, not your anger....

Let's be honest, he's a fucking moron and if the shoe was on the other foot, you can bet that there would be a thread on here a mile long going on about it too. Seriously...biting someone? Like a stupid child that needs a slap. The more I look at the video, the more ridiculous it is. Personally, if I was Ivanovic, I'd have broken his teeth.

But selling him would be silly. Liverpool are in dire straits, relatively. Selling a 30 goal player, regardless if he's a mind numbing ***** or not would only makes things worse and the club just cannot afford to even contemplate that at the moment. But, again, he's forced the club into damage control mode and, as someone else said, fair play to Chelsea for not making a meal of it as they're well within their rights to. Frankly, he shouldn't have even been on the pitch for the handball in the box.

We should be clear though, it probably isn't the last stupid thing that this fucking ejit will do. The gobshite has form and I doubt that he has the intelligence to reign his neck in...or keep his teeth to himself.

I need evidence of the bite mark or it didn't happen!  :D  As far as I can see, Luis is merely licking Ivanovic's tricep...I know Brendan told him to be hungry but it could be merely a language issue. I blame Brendan for this  :p

Doesn't matter - the FA will have a significant amount to say about this, as will our glorious owners....

Suarez is an idiot, but this thing has been blown way out of proportion.
Its not like he even left a mark on Ivanovic.

I have had players for anger management before, the problem is they are not in that mind set when they are sitting in a room talking, they say all the right things but as soon as you put a ball at their feet they turn into a monster. i ended up having to go to the club training ground to see what they were really like and talk to them during brakes in play.
