We all know that Suarez is a diamond of a player. Could anyone tell me whether it was Dalglish or Comolli who wanted him? I am surprised in the Jan window 2011, none of the big guns ie RM, Barca, City, Chels, manure wanted him. He can walk into  the starting 11 of any of those sides any day. He's done a great service to the club and without CL next season, I know for sure he will be gone in the summer. He is too big for a mid table club like LIverpool and I won't blame him for opting to leave. Hope we can start a bidding war from the clubs who want him and hope we can jack up the price to 60M and we can use that handsome amount to reinvest in a few quality and experienced players to challenge for top 4 finish. I've always said that I would prefer 3 quality players than 1 world class Suarez because if he's injured, then we're finished.

alwayslfc - the above post was intended for boring fkrs like you. Why do you feel it so necessary to constantly post the same regurgitated sh.ite over and over again. Stating the bleeding obvious once is bad enough but you seem to feel the need to do it repeatedly when it comes to Luis Suarez. And just for the record what makes you think we could necessarily spend any money that we receive for Luis to actually improve the team. Dalglish and Comolli never managed to with £110m !!!!!!!

KD and Comolli never managed with 110M? KD, I love the man to bits for what he had done as a player and first spell as manager and I still do but in the 2nd spell, I have to say he wasted that valuable 110M on mostly average players and Comolli had to complete the deals. Imagine what Rafa or even BR could have done with 110M? I am sure they wouldn't have signed AC, Adam, Henderson and Downing for those ridiculously high costs. KD was still living in the 80s and he could have signed much better players with that kind of funds available.

Look at Newcastle, when they ripped us off for 35M, they used that sum to buy D.Ba and Cisse for a combined sum less than 35M and they finished above us last season. It all depends on how good your scouting system is. There are lots of potential bargain gems out there in the world to be unearthed. Look at Michu at Swansea, he didn't cost 35M and yet he's one of the top scorers. So my point is, in the unfortunate event that LS leaves, if the scouting system play their cards right, with a huge fund from the sale we can still get the Michus and the D.Ba to make up for the loss. I don't for 1 second want LS to leave BTW.

Well thank goodness for that !!! It is easy to list the odd few bargain basement successes but actually buying and finding them is another thing. Newcastle had a decent spell last season but look at them now. There is no easy remedy and we have got to do everything possible to keep world beaters like Luis. The lads attitude against Arsenal was unbelievable and the more I see him the better he gets.

From EPSN site while things change quickly in football for me its still good to see:

Luis Suarez has reaffirmed his commitment to Liverpool, insisting he plans to stay at Anfield for a "very long time".

Suarez joined Liverpool in the 2011 January transfer window and has proved to be a brilliant signing for the Reds. He has, though, had his difficult moments - notably a suspension after being found guilty of racially abusing Patrice Evra.

He often comes in for criticism from rival fans and Reds boss Brendan Rodgers has warned against hounding the Uruguay star out of the Premier League.

But for all the controversies, his commitment to Liverpool has never wavered and after scoring in the 2-2 draw with Arsenal on Wednesday he reaffirmed his desire to stay at the club.

"I hope [to be at Liverpool] for a very long time because it's a massive club that kids dream about playing for," Suarez told the club's official website.

"I've been very proud to be at a club like Liverpool and to have made the decision to come here. In two years I've lived through some spectacular and very special moments that I will never, ever forget.

"There have been a few difficult times as well, but with the support of my family, the club and the fans, things have gone well for me.

"I do feel at home here. When I'm out and about, all I get is support and encouragement from the local people and that's very important, and when I come here to the club I feel like people have known me all my life. That also helps a great deal to making me feel so at home.

"I hope to be able to help out the team for as long as I possibly can while trying to do something to make the club and the fans very happy."

You have to take these sort of comments from today's footballers with a pinch of salt but I do get the impression from Suarez that he is happy at Liverpool and has no immediate plans to leave.

We may not be at our best at the moment or have CL football which is the be all and end all of football to some people, but here Suarez is a King, a hero and is adored by the fans in a way that very few other clubs fans can and he seems to love it. Of course that will never be enough for a player of his world class quality but I hope that he will give us another couple of years to help him achieve some top honours before moving on.

LS said after the Ars game that he hoped to stay for a very long time. Well, i hope he means it because what many footballers say about club loyalty and what they do is another matter. Look at Coutinho, when we put a bid for him early this month, he said he was happy we were interested but reaffirmed his commitment and to fight for his place at Inter and look what happened next, he signed for Liverpool.

There will be big money waved at Liverpool for Suarez tonight and in the summer.

It would have to be a massive, and I mean massive bid, but there will be price tag on him
and if someone meets that then he will be away.

Wonder if he has a release clause in the contract  :oh:
