So, let me get this straight, some of you are willing to get rid of Suarez because of media pressure?

we need to appreciate him as he will be gone if some "bigger" clubs come calling for him.
but as torres now understands, LFC made him and not the other way around.
i hopes suarez understands it too.

stories in todays paper linking him with a £40m move to bayern munich, apparently pep guardiola`s brother is luis agent and bayern want to bring in some big names to show pep that they mean business and share his ambition.
the paper seems to think that CL football is the key, according to them if we finish in the top 4 this season it`s very unlikely that luis will want to leave. he`s happy at anfield but wants to compete at the top level.
there`s a lot of clubs that are going to be watching our results closely over the second half of the season.

Paper talk = Unsubstansiated sh'ite to get people concerned and buying the papers to see what happens
I would say wipe your ar'se on them, but you would end up with sh'it on your ar'se rather than the paper

Folks, no matter how much adulation we lavish on a player (Masch, Torres, Alonso, Suarez...) we simply cannot afford to match what others are willing to pay. And if Bayern come in with a ludicrous offer for Suarez, he will go. End of.
Enjoy him torment other teams while you can......just like we did all the other players I just mentioned...

Agree with bunglemark on this.  We have to accept that these big foreign stars, as committed as they may seem and as much they may seem to take to LFC, it's a job to them at the end of the day.  I don't think Suarez will stay with us his whole career, but regardless of where we end up this season I'd hope he'd give us one more season.  And if and when he does leave I hope it's abroad.  As long as he gives his all while he's here, doesn't lie about how he's 'going to sign a new contract' like Owen did and doesn't go to one of our rivals and start bad mouthing us like Torres, then good luck to him.  He's a world class player and deserves to be playing in the CL like Gerrard said today.

If there ever was one who genuinely seemed made for the club it was Torres.  He was absolutely idolised and the way he spoke about the club I expected him to stay here for his best years and perhaps go back to Athletico in his thirties to finish his career there.  But from going to a rival and then to start claiming they were a bigger club was a kick in the knackers to us all and never again will I kid myself into thinking any of these guys see this as any more than a job.  Suarez may like the club and be happy for now, but I doubt he loves the club.  He can be bought.  They all have their price.

A lot of it is going to be up to the club. Let's face it we very nearly lost Gerrard to Chelsea because of the way he was treated after we won the CL and that was partly down to the inept management skills of Rafa and Parry. And just for the record our Stevie was born down the fkg road !!!

You also naively expected Torres to to stay here until very late in to his career. Personally I think we did get the very best years out of Torres before he became very disillusioned and unhappy. Selling a player who was being disruptive and who had been playing badly for quite some time for £50m was perhaps one of our better transfer deals. He hasn't actually been a revelation for Chelsea has he.

Just watching ramires' blatant dive to get a pen v arsenal today. I dread to think the coverage that would have got if Luis had done it.

And to cap it all that annoying fkr Neville has a heated argument with Jamie Rednap advocating that Demsey should have gone down when he was tackled by Evra and claimed the penalty instead of going one to one with the goalie. He was actually being criticised by Mr Super Fking Pundit for being honest !!! You couldn't dream this stuff up. Why should I be surprised when  it is just the sort of thing that has been drilled into him for many many years !!! Once a kunt always a kunt. And this is an England coach who was virtually advocating that going down when you don't have is totally acceptable.

Ya enjoy Suarez's skills and goals for the rest of the season. We won't qualify for CL and if he does go, I want him to go to somewhere in the continent and not joining our rivals. I know for sure he won't be going to manure because of Evra and Fergie's public criticism of him AND we should fetch a high price for him because of his long term contract. That's the good news that is coming out of it and BR can use the cash to rebuild by signing a few more quality players to replace one high class Suarez which to me isn't too bad a deal.

I think we'll have until next winter or until summer of 2014. If we're still mid table, I can't see him staying with us.
