the yanks have lurched from one f**k up to another, they appointed comoli on the say so of a baseball fella, then got rid of him after a year, then there was that belligerent statement over the suarez thing only to backtrack later (infact the whole way the suarez thing was handled by senior management at the club was a huge f**k up), they sacked kenny after he got to 2 cup finals and finished 8th (not great but not sackable imo), they upset pep segura with false promises to the extent that he f**ks off just as everyone was saying how good he was behind the scene`s (even the yanks thought he was good, they were going to make him a DoF)
then they said we were going to have 1 DoF, then that was upped to 2 DoF`s and then they changed their mind to no DoF`s.
the search for the manager even turned into a soap opera (dave whelan etc) which had half the country in stitches laughing at us, what a carry on that was.
they have been here over 2 years and there is no management structure in place, they change their minds every five minutes and inbetween that they insult the fans by basically saying the cups are worthless and they quite like the idea of that game 39 proposal.
you can add this transfer farce to that lot and i`m sure there`s a few more as well.

We have got what weve got. End of. We cant keep moaning and saying: "We dont like you. Go away. We want new ones" every time something goes wrong. FSG saved us from the dirtyest pair of shyster cu'nts on the planet. Yet people are talking about getting rid of them!
We are spoiled and we are making ourselves look like ranting, spoilt brats. I am becoming ashamed at the amount of complaints rom "fans" to radio and tv phone ins. Dont they realise how it is making us look?
I despair at some of the w@nkers who make us a public laughing stock

it`s not the fans that are making us a public laughing stock it`s the club.
and fsg bought us because they saw an opportunity to make money, the fact they are better than H+G isnt really saying much.

Our wage bill for staff is something like 120m a year. You can pay mega money all you like + still not get right results. Depends whos spending it.

35m for carroll + 20m for hendo. Kennys signings

Could have got Falcao for that.

If the board do cough up 30m say in jan, what if rodgers wastes it? On sub standard players.
Kenny wasted his dosh.

At least with Hicks and Gillett we had Champions League football near enough every season. With FSG we continue to keep regressing backwards and all I am seeing is a constant pointing of fingers from them towards the failings of other people.

The way I see it what made Hicks and Gillett poor owners was the monumental debt they placed on the club, the lies and spin they immersed themselves in and the fact they never had any attention to move the club forwards. The problem with FSG is that they are weakening the squad season in and season out and I can see us finishing further adrift this season. 7th, 6th and 8th over the last few seasons, I can see that continuing under their stewardship. FSG are looking as poor as Hicks and Gillett at the moment.

you mean the owners man comoli wasted the dosh, he was brought in specifically to be in charge of player recruitment, on the say so of the owners baseball buddy billy beane.

If you own a football club with this type of thinking then you'll club will never get anywhere, you cannot hold a new manager to account for the old managers mistakes. Rodgers may waste that money who knows? Every manager makes mistakes in the transfer market, Jose Mourinho has made some in his managerial career and will make more in the future. At the end of the day, Rodgers has signed three promising youngsters in Allen and Borini and has loaned in Nuri Sahin. If he's signing these types of players, then I'd trust him with £30m. Rodgers might be relatively inexperienced in the game of management having only been a manager for four years, but this fella has spent time learning his trade under Mourinho and has even studied the game in Spain. He's mastered his trade over the last two decades, so if a manager as good as Mourinho says 'Brendan is a good manager' then that's all I need to know about Rodgers.

John Henry's open letter is BS a PR exercise and who remembers brendon rodger quote I would be a nutter to get rid of Carroll. Get the straight jacket n this reminds me of when hodgson was installed rodgers is a YES man. :veryangry

It's not just Comolli who is to blame, Kenny (according to Alan Hansen) had a solid grasp of the transfer markets across Europe because he watched and followed football a lot. Yet despite this apparent wealth of knowledge on foreign leagues and foreign players, he signs - Adam, Downing and Henderson. When he could have signed players like Arda Turan, Falcao, Diego, etc, etc. I blame Comolli for wasting money, but I blame Kenny for bringing in players that might well have won the league in the mid-90's, but as shown last season couldn't get us beyond 8th place in the league. That said, I'm fed up of this blame game and fed up of living in the past. we dont play sunderland for a fortnight mate, there`s a couple of world cup qualifiers next week.
that will be a tough game up there though, sunderland have spent well and in adam johnson and sessignion (sp?) they have players that can go past a man and cause havoc on the break, that fletcher knows where the net is too.
swansea were lucky to get a 2-2 draw against sunderland at the liberty stadium on saturday, and swansea have been flying of late so as i say sunderland away will be a tough test for us, martin o neill sides are generally hard to beat anyway.

this is the one thing fans seem to wanna ignore. They wanna blame comolli for the transfer fee's paid so you can give them that even though KD still should have seen that £20m for Henderson is silly!

But I will give them this.

But the fact that KD thought Henderson, Adam and Downing were good enough needs to be questioned. Even if they were free transfers, the fact is that the players were not good enough and KD should have been targeting better quality!

He seemed to be hell bent on buying British last summer or players who had experience in the EPL.

I for one trust FSG. They saved us from oblivion and cleared our debts when NO ONE else would touch LFC with a barge pole, yet they’re no better than H&G? :laugh:

They tried the ‘spend big’ route, and Kenny and Comolli f**ked it up BIG style. Downing, Carroll, Adam and Henderson shouldn't be anywhere near Anfield, and the fact we spent 80+ million on them is the worst business i've ever seen in this league. Pretend that Kenny had nothing to do with it if it makes you feel better, but he did...he signed off the deals, he agreed with the fees paid. It didn’t work and now FSG want to do it their way...which is fair enough.

At least give it more than 3 games before spouting sh!te about new owners, Rodgers has a huge task on his hands and he needs time, as do the owners who are trying to run our club right

who says kenny chose those players? it`s a well known fact that downing and henderson were `moneyball` stats based signings, when they signed comoli said it in the press. i dont think kenny would recruit players by studying stats, he`s from a different generation.
the one signing that i think was kenny`s was adam.

what's that based on? Because Kenny said in public that they WERE his players...he said it 100 times and, regardless if Comolli suggested them, Kenny had final say on who was brought in. The buck stops with the guy who signs the checks, and that was Kenny. No one forced him to sign Downing for 20 million, or Adam and Henderson. He did and that's why he's gone.
