Luis Suarez signs for Barcelona

Just goes to show that certain people don't want to move on.

It was interesting, I just saw screen shots on twitter of articles for the guardian.

"John Terry charged by the FA with using abusive language"

"Liverpool's Luis Suarez charged with racism by the FA"

Then the exact same paragraph followed, only switching their names with the ordinance that was claimed to be broken.

So either the guardian is bias, or the FA is.  Or both.  It's both.

As much as I want him to stay at LFC, I would not hold any grudge if he decided to pack it in and leave this country.

On a positive note, Uruguay are out and Suarez returns home early.

Just in time for our mammoth first month of games.

Olympics football: Luis Suarez angry at Uruguay anthem boos
Uruguay striker Luis Suarez has criticised Great Britain supporters after some booed during his side's national anthem.

The Liverpool frontman was angry with the reception before Britain won 1-0 at the Millennium Stadium.

He said: "I can take the abuse. I don't mind. But I think it was a total lack of respect from the crowd to boo when we were trying to sing our anthem.

"I'm hurt because we lost and we are going home."

There was booing during the anthem - but only when Suarez's face appeared on the big screen.

Uruguay were knocked out of the competition as a result of the defeat and Suarez felt the behaviour of some supporters was unacceptable.

He added: "I think they jeer me and they boo me here because they must be scared of facing a player like me. They fear me, but that doesn't affect me."

Before the game, Welsh striker and captain for the night Craig Bellamy called for the British anthem to be respected by the Cardiff crowd.

He said at the time: "Every national anthem [should be respected], it doesn't matter if it is your worst enemy, it's just one or two minutes and you should be quiet and respect it and that should be the same for everyone."

Starting to really feel for the lad now ,the constant abuse is obviously getting to him ,what makes it more galling is its  probably coming from the same cunts who cheer for John Terry . :no

the carry on from the english fans towards suarez in the olympics was nothing short of a disgrace and i cant blame him for being upset and speaking out as not one fooking media outlet or journo has the balls to stand up for him.
to make it worse is that rodgers gave an interview to maddock where he states that luis needs to forget about all this and move on once and for all.maddock has captions like,"keep your nose clean luis"rodgers has urged suarez to avoid trouble and "anger management" rodgers has advice for suarez.
all this and rodgers hasnt even met the lad yet :and to quote maddock "rodgers will deliver that message to his influential striker in person on monday when suarez returns to training" :glare: .
did our manager really need to give that statement to that clown? .he's constantly giving interviews and will no doubt replace arry as media hoor of the year if he's not careful.
he could have timed this one a little better.

Yes and there should be more good news to follow in the coming days.
