its well worth the watch for anyone that hasnt seen it.

What about "Glory" ? OK it's over 20 years old but one of his earliest films and Denzel picked up an Oscar for best supporting actor, it's also got that other black acting icon Morgan Freeman in it.

went to see Avengers last night to see what the hype was about. After all the praise it was gven from almost everyone I went with high expectations. While it didn't quite meet them it was very enjoyable, doesn't beat The Dark Knight in terms of superhero films but its really good, though if it wasn't for Scarlet Johansson and Robert Downey's funny quips I might have lost attention. The villain didn't quite grab it for me either. The actions scenes are absolutely fantastic tho

Prometheus is a movie that the phrase "goes completely off the rails" was invented for. The first half of the movie is really well put together, methodically paced and visually stunning then at around the midway point it just turns into complete schlock and it gets laugh out loud terrible (there is one scene in the finale of this film that you will legitimately and completely unintentionally laugh your a*s off at)

Well maybe you're not from the same generation as I am... but it's a throwback to the alien franchise and I enjoyed it quite a bit including all its flaws...

I've never seen any of the batman films. I watched The Dark Knight last week and I thought it was brilliant. I said boldly " I wanna watch the rest of the batman films now!"

then the missus told me it's nowt to do with the other batman films. so I felt like a plonker.

however I might still watch the Batman films anyway

Caught a movie called "Goon" last night, maybe not great but it did have some laugh out loud moments, worth a watch.

Caught Men In Black 3 the other night.

After a ten year gap I went into it fully expecting it to be just another money spinning sequel but I was pleasantly surprised.

Josh Brolin was excellent playing the young Tommy Lee Jones, so good in fact it was hard not to think that you were watching TLJ from his youth.
The setting of the 60's was well done (I'm told - I wasn't around back then) and the few tongue in cheek takes on actual people and events (Andy Warhol and the Moon Landing) brought some decent laughs but overall the comedy of the first film was missing.

If you're a fan of the first two movies it is a MUST see. The biggest disappointment if I had to pick one is the absence of the excellent Rip Torn.

Overall 8.5/10
