Oh and on Berbatov: Wouldnt want him here unless we sell Suarez... Both dont offer much in terms of movement higher up and both prefer getting the ball deeper and to their feet.. We need a Chicarito or Torres to play alongside Suarez if we are indeed going to sign another forward. Which we should.

He wont be arriving here like but Berbatov is a terrific player.

I would take him in heartbeat if the circumstances where different as would many other top clubs no doubt.

Liverpool target Leandro Damiao has revealed his desire to stay at Internacional, although he has not ruled out the possibility of a move abroad.

The Brazilian striker, who is also rumoured to be on Paris Saint-Germain’s radar, is currently playing for his club in the Copa Libertadores where, so far, he has hit five goals in three games.

And the 22-year-old’s recent form has only increased speculation of an imminent bid from one of Europe’s elite but he has insisted his immediate future lies with his current club.

He told TVCOM Esportes: “One day [the possibility of playing abroad] that day will come, but my career plan right now is to stay at Internacional.

“If I do leave, then I hope it will be for a big club like my current club Internacional. A club which is always fighting for titles.

“My current contract expires in 2016 but I am in no hurry to leave right now.”

The rangy forward has scored once in five appearances for Brazil since making his debut against Scotland in March 2011.

Liverpool are ready to make a £15m move for Benfica midfielder Nolito, according to reports in Portugal.

The 25-year-old joined the Portuguese giants last summer after snubbing a contract offer from Barcelona.

The 25-year-old has signed a contract until 2015, but Portuguese newspaper Record are claiming Benfica would consider offers in the region of £15million.

Kenny Dalglish is set to make a number of signings during the summer as he targets a top four place next season

have a look here http://paisleygates.com/?p=7826
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

heard tim vickery talking about him and he seemed to think that he'll score goals over here. he's pretty much a falcao type. not going to contribute much outside the box, not the greatest touch but deadly inside the area. if he sticks the ball in the net he'll do me.

will he get a work permit though? ???

There were some decent goals, but a lot of shoddy defending, and a lot of garbage goal keeping.  Not sure about this guy.

Liverpool are preparing the ground for a summer move for Rasmus Elm, after sending their top scout to check out the Sweden international, according to reports.

The 24-year-old midfielder has impressed for Dutch side AZ Alkmaar this season, scoring 12 goals in total for them this season - the sort of stat that has got goal-shy Liverpool interested.

A week before he was relived of his duties at Anfield, Liverpool director of football Damien Comolli reportedly sent talent-spotter Steve Hitchen to compile a report on Elm.

The departure of Comolli has reportedly not extinguished the interest, and Kenny Dalglish is thought to be keen to bring the £7million-rated Swede to Merseyside.

....and so the silly season begins in earnest.....

we're linked with every player in Europe.....

.....one thing i am hopeful of is though, that this year's signings have a reverse on the 'second season syndrome - usually the second season for a new signing is cack; for us, their first seasons have been cack. so hopefully thy'll have they impact next year they should have had THIS year

tweets saying we are looking at a big named goalkeeper.
a new big names 2nd goalkeeper or are the talks just in case Pepe Reina walks.
lets face it we almost come unstuck with only having 3 keepers at the club that are any good.
