Just another one to add to the raft of midfielders and Strikers we're linked with .

Liverpool may have moved a step closer to signing Uruguayan star Gaston Ramirez after his agent revealed they have received a bid from an un-named Premier League team for the Bologna midfielder.

Ramirez has been one of the star performers for his club side in Serie A and has been attracting interest from Kenny Dalglish.
The Liverpool manager is set to make a number of changes during the summer and has been strongly tipped to make a move for the 21-year-old.
According to Italian TV station TMW, Ramirez' agent Pablo Bentancur has confirmed that a Premier League club have made an offer for his client and a decision will be made at the end of the season.
Bentancur said: "Bologna have received an offer near to 20 million Euros from an important club in the Premier League.
"Bologna will decide at the end of the season what they are going to do."

FSG seeking to re-establish Director of Football at Anfield

28/4/2012

Reports from New York suggest that FSG's principal owner John Henry is seeking to re-establish the position of Director of football at Anfield. Henry is said to be in favour of the position within football even though Damien Comolli's reign was short lived, this hasn't deterred Henry from seeking a DoF.

A new candidate is rumoured to be on FSG's shortlist of appointments which will raise a few eye brows this side of the pond. Relatively unknown, Heimdall is tipped to be FSG's from runner to partner Kenny Dalglish in scouting, appointing and drawing up new contracts that ensure the glory days are brought back to Anfield.

Heimdall is very much unknown in the 'real' world of football but it is said Henry is impressed with his relative success on FM 2012. A close source to Heimdall, code-named, Reg said that Heimdall's philosophy is all about 'Chop and Change' sighting this as the best way to bring success and stability to a club. Reg, went on to say "Heimdall makes it work on a computer, so why can't it work with real people"?

FSG could be willing to end their 'money-ball' philosophy to enable 'Chop and Change' to take effect on the recruiting side of transfers and if a deal can be struck and some issues ironed out, FSG maybe willing to let Heimdall work his FM 2012 methods out in the real world.

Why has no one mentioned Gaston Ramirez from Bologna. We've been heavily linked with him in the past few days. Good player, but according to the rumors we're offering a lot of money, 20 mil or something crazy like that. Must say I'm not surprised with the offer to be honest.

:(

Ill second that. Exactly the kind of player we needed to sign.

Cant see us signing 4 or 5 top players for big money so we could really do with signing some of the bargains available whether on small transfer fees or on bosmans.

Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish was in Holland on Sunday to watch £8million-rated AZ Alkmaar midfielder Rasmus Elm in action against Feyenoord.

Some people say we bought him.

Never heard of him.

Done ok in Holland. Not much better than Downing or Henderson so for below half their price I guess it's ok and with a much smaller salary. Really good at dead balls situations. Fun for me to have a swede in the team. Very easy going person to have in the team and causes no roblems. Will not solves our problems.

He has like ten brothers that are ok so we could basicly field a whole team with Elms if he works out. He has one brother playing at Fulham and another one at Hereenven.

Victor Moses and Junior Hoilett are out of contract in the summer isn't it? Snap them up!!

                          Junior Hoilett   vs  Stewart Downing
Assists                 5                       0
Goals                  6                       0
Successful Dribbles 76                      19
Total Tackles         42                      22
Total Interceptions 32                      21

Another player I would love to see at this club is Luciano Narsingh.
