The Rum Diary , Johnny Depp once again in a movie from a Hunter S Thompson novel, perhaps not great but I nevertheless enjoyed it. PMSL at the scene where Depp and his mate are driving the car with no front seat.

i watched Drive last night and really wish i hadn't wasted the time. i know this has received all sorts of excellent reviews but i thought it was awful - trying too hard to achieve a david lynch feel but completely failing, some decent songs in the soundtrack but really badly used, a plot that's been rehashed a 1000 times and stereotypical characters acting as wooden as i've seen for a long time.

Went the pictures to see the woman in black . 5 of us all adults and all sh1tting ourselves , proper scary stuff. For those of you old enough it's a proper throw back to the hammer house of horrors stuff. It's all in the music and the build up and the tension and the what's coming next. No blood , no gore , no anal raping with chainsaws . Just your imagination and your senses . BOSS FILM .

Watched this week.

Latest offering from Clint Eastwood starring Leonardo Di Caprio. "J Edgar" a piecemeal account of J Edgar Hoover who ran the FBI for over 40 years. Good performance from Di Caprio but story wise far from satisfying.

As the movie drew to a close found myself thinking "this is a really long movie", checked the run time expecting to see 3 hours plus, it was 2 hours and a couple of minutes !!!

Given the material for the story it could have been great, instead I just found it tedious.

Not a bad movie Tub, but tbh not that memorable, in fact I started to watch it a few nights back and then realized I'd already seen it earlier this year.

As for the soundtrack ? Haven't a clue mate, couldn't name yer one tune

I thought Drive was pretty decent.

I watched Real Steal a couple weeks ago, and it wasn't bad at all. A little corny at times, but not bad.

I saw Contagion and liked that one as well.

Chronicle was one I really wanted to see, and I wasn't disappointed it was really decent.

Watched a movie called Double. it wasn't bad, but not one of the better films I've seen. A bit slow for what it's supposed to be.

I also watched Warrior because I saw so many people on here say good things about it. I'm not into UFC or anything, but it was really good.
