Watched "The Descendants" last night. Wish I hadn't fking bothered.

Can't believe how well this did at the Golden Globes and that it's being considered a strong Oscar contender. Probably the most over-hyped movie I've seen in many a year.

The "Plot",  George Clooneys wife is in a coma after a boating accident , Clooney mooches about with his daughters for 99% of the movies run time, the wife then dies, roll credits.

The movie btw is labled as a drama/comedy :(

I'm not even gonna give this a rating .

Watched a few things on the plane back. Warrior - good film, not as good as The Fighter imo. Captain America, what a load of :censored:.
My new blog for my upcoming holiday.

That was a bit harsh...

It's a decent movie especially if you are sick and tired of senseless action movies with loud sound effects... good performances by Clooney and the girl who acts as his elder daughter...

Tried to be in the vein of Cast Away, Forest Gump and Benjamin Button but wasn't as dramatic and as good as those...

I'd give it a 6/10...
