I'm very much on the side of the world's gone soft here but that's a minority view and I'm fully aware of that. I say trigger the ban and let the episode move on. Release a statement saying yes we're annoyed at the way the case was handled but it's a difference of cultures, Luis didn't appreciate such differences at the time and is now aware and regretful of his actions. We'd like to stress he isn't racist blah blah blah etc etc CL place next season

i dont think "the world has gone soft" is a minority view.....

im of the belief your in the majority its just that the media, governing bodies and so called "PC" political correctness is telling you otherwise....  the media and governing bodies and "PC" can all goto hell

I have a black cat as a pet his name is blackie whats that make me a racist ??? hang on i'll let the FA write 115 pages as to why they consider me racist but not actually have any proof or evidence that I am or am not......

The New Zealand rugby team is called "All Blacks" and their soccer / football team is called "All Whites" and their cricket team called "Black Caps"  i dont see any of the media or governing bodies or "political Correctness" jumping on the band wagon calling anyone racist there

mind you no one wouldn't want to upset those New Zealand rugby players now would they???

This is some of an article from the express newspaper.  All other media reports are in the same vain - not one has come out as to discredit the FA or Evra - all the blame has been put onto Suarez.

There's always 2 sides to every story -

Who the FU*K are the media to tell us what we should or shouldn't do ???  Seriously who the FU*K are they -

They jumped on probably 3 words from a 115 page report that the FA has no conclusive proof or evidence to validate and yet they have the recklessness and rashness to hand down such a ridiculous decision.

Such behaviour by the FA must and should be criticised for its apathy and contempt.

Liverpool should notify the Football Association that they want Suarez’s eight-match suspension to kick in immediately, ruling him out of tomorrow’s journey to leaders Manchester City.

To do anything else would add inexcusable insult to a saga that should become a deep source of embarrassment to everyone at Liverpool, from owner John W Henry to manager Kenny Dalglish, the director of football Damien Comolli to, not least, Suarez himself.

If Liverpool delay Suarez’s ban in order to try to manipulate their looming fixture list, pretending they are working up until the January 13 cut-off point and considering their options, they will be proffering a two-fingered salute to the authorities.

You should check out henry winter's articles... unbelievable.

Evra should be thankful he isn't playing in the Lebanese Football League, he would have been called much worse, like ''Abeed'' (Slave) or ''Kirid'' (Monkey)... all of these words are deemed acceptable and has a friendly meaning in Lebanon  :D  (I apologize if anyone finds this offensive)

My pet chimpanzee read your post and is offended by the term "monkey" he is now considering his legal options.

My butler on the other hand objects to your use of the word "slave" and is now on his way round to your with a lead pipe !

It looks like if he plays against City he will then miss Utd at Old Trafford, maybe that is not such a bad idea.

Sounds like Suarez has kinda f*cked it for himself. The report has a number of quotes detailed. None of which appear to be being denied by player or club!!

You now wonder if Suarez was honest about the incident with Dalglish and the players in light of the evidence and the clubs initial response. I find it difficult to imagine he was up front and the club would then react in such a way personally, and I certainly hope thats the case.

The biggest stitch up in football for many a year
Well done Evra, Ferguson, Manchester United, the media, the PFA and of course the brilliant FA on a great job

I dont see the stitch up. I love the guy, he is a talisman and a world class striker but I am not se deluded I cannot see he has done wrong.

8 games. Yes very strong. But at the same time he has been found culpable of racism on the field. One of the things we should have all known when he came here is his desire to win, and his being prone to taking gamesmanship just that little bit too far. In the UTD game it worked as he psyched Evra right out but he went too far. Its time for us to suck it up and move on, and welcome him back for the run in.

I will wait to see what happens to John Terry before I cry stitch up. If he is guilty his misdemeanors are much worse and the penalty much worse.
