To me not treating players from all cultures and nationalities evenly against English players shows discrimination and a certain degree of racism.

Every player should be treated fairly and evenly regardless of ethnic or cultural differences, therefor John Terry should be given a huge ban, the F.A shouldn't hide behind the fact the police have got involved with this incident. (Just because he is England captain?)

The same rules should apply across the board.

I do however believe in the Suarez ,was a misunderstanding of cultural backgrounds.

With the finger gesture there's no excuses for that.

could have been a 3 match ban, easily...but feel the leniency will be undermined when they uphold his 8 match ban.

If that's the case then we should tell the lad to take a few weeks off to clear his head and recuperate because he needs it.

Why 3 match ban? Rooney, Ashley Cole and Gary Neville have used inappropriate gestures towards fans but they got nothing

Luis gave the finger and the w*nker sign to the home fans...i've not seen anyone do that without getting a hefty ban.

Yes, anything that's acceptable in any other culture should also be acceptable over here.

and they should have all been punished...but I really don't believe there's a witch hunt going on in relation to Luis.

He's made some foolish comments to Evera and he's let his temper get the better of him by making gestures to the crowd. Personally, i'd be happier if he just served his bans and moved on.

They should have been punished mate but they weren't, that was my point. I think Suarez deserves the punishment he got for the gesture, I agree, but much worse happened in football that the FA completely ignored. As for the racsim row, its still ridiculious and I hope the club fights it

The player of Porto, Álvaro Pereira, Luis Suarez defended the ruling that accused him of having inflicted racist French Patrice Evra and that cost him an eight-game suspension and a fine of $ 60,000.

"I talked to Luis when he left the suspension ... we are always in touch. We have a very good relationship. Knowing him, I am a little surprised they put together all the circus back in England. This is football. Appears at the end you're on a court and commit a sin by saying something. If they come here, to America, they have to suspend all players, "said Pereira told Radio Sport 890.

The Uruguayan national team player considered the "circus" that ensued in relation to the discussion held Suarez and Evra on the pitch is more of a war between football clubs. "What surprises me because Evra has no codes: what happens on the field stays on the court. The times then you yell or tell you things, what to do? Everyone takes advantage. I like that bypasses a topic from person to person but from club to club. Manchester wants to get maximum advantage to Liverpool sacándole one of the best players in the squad. And that is sad, because dirty football, "said 'Palito'.

"What we have to do then here in America, who insult you and tell you all? You do not have to play more football. You have to sue to fans, players ... For me not so much a personal matter, I think the club must have given him to handle Evra to insist on that. Or Evra has a problem with being black, or is it, "said the player.

In addition, Pereira complex question that may have the French. She accused him of not having codes and that he is proud to be black.

"It has a complex, not proud of being black. I do. They call me black and I :censored: of laughter. My colleagues tell me black, and here is also used affectionately. Obviously, I can say good or bad way ... To me any of the ways I :censored: of laughter. I do not care. Evra able to have a problem being black, or inferiority. I have none, "he said.

"For me it has codes, because what happens on the field stays there. You do not know what can happen, tomorrow can be your partner, "added the player.

But Pereira said the Cameroonian Samuel Eto'o Roberto Carlos themselves were victims of racism when they threw from the stands with bananas. "What happened to them is different, a different situation. It hits you a little ... It's hard to tolerate. "

The Uruguayan Football Association (AUF) is scheduled for late 2012 that the selection of Oscar Tabarez play a friendly against France. See 'Palito' how players might react if confronted celestial Evra, Pereira said, laughing: "If we play now, Evra will have to put armor will remove all numbers," he said.

I actually think we will be ok without Suarez for 8 games, as long as Gerrard stays fit

I wanted Suarez to be dropped for this match
Although Im not happy with his suspension I am glad that we won without him
This proves we can exist and even flourish without having to depend on King Luis

As good as Suarez is as a player, he has a lot desired in his finishing.

His suspension could be a blessing in disguise. I think there is a lot of pressure on his shoulders at the moment, as with Gerrard out (up to now), Carrol playing :censored:, and the rest anaonamous, its been all up to Suarez to deliver AND finish.

I believe he will come back a better player, into a Better team, hopefully with one or two class signings in the Jan window.
