Then what the feck is the 8 game ban for??

got to admit I'm scratching my head at that one

It's bs.. 8 games would put make it so he could play against manure, which they did on purpose so we don't appeal.  If we appeal then his ban won't start for a couple weeks, and he will miss the mancheater united match.  If he doesn't appeal and basically admits guilt, which is what they want, then he gets to play against mancheater, but he's basically saying the FA are correct and justifiable in what they did.

Taking into account the FAs statement they had no choice about the decision.
Reading LFCs statement its clear they will appeal and get the suspension reduced.
Dont panic people. He has 14 days to appeal, then wait for the appeal to take place, then wait for the decision from the appeal before he is suspended. It could be weeks if not months

It smells of Whisky all over this....in fact, it feels like the punishment has been handed to the entire club, not the player.

at least the club are not going to stand by and let this go quietly. they back Luis. thats all he needs to know. they will appeal im sure. might get it dropped to a 5 game ban but still.

got to play them at there own game. I'd expect any reference to the FA on the advert boards inside the ground covering with flags on match day and when we play man utd next...     break Evra's legs Agger. :;):

I love the clubs statement. They are as livid as the rest of us. International football teams are never fined as much for racism as what Suarez has been fined, but I believe Suarez is innocent. He is simply being made a scapegoat.
Bill Shankly: “I was the best manager in Britain because I was never devious or cheated anyone. I’d break my wife’s legs if I played against her, but I’d never cheat her.”

If the appeal doesn't work his suspension starts against the Mancs.

Suarez - Today is a very difficult and painful day for both me and my family. Thanks for all the support, I'll keep working!

Such a little grafter. I imagine its killing him inside :(

"Mr Suárez has the right to appeal the decision of the independent regulatory commission to an appeal board. An appeal must be lodged within 14 days of the date of the written reasons for the decision.

The penalty is suspended until after the outcome of any appeal, or the time for appealing expires, or should Mr Suárez decide not to appeal. The reason for this is to ensure that the penalty does not take effect before any appeal so that Mr Suárez has an effective right of appeal."

I reckon if he appeals and is unsuccsessful he would be back for the Arsenal game on the 3rd of March?
