I have to say though, the statement from the club is brilliant.  It shows to everyone, what a disgrace of a decision this is.

I dont agree with everyone here saying Terry will get a short ban... it is now impossible for the FA to ban him for less than 8 games

Suarez admitted using the term "Negrito" where as Terry had catagorically denied all all allegations....

Terry will get a slap on the wrist

but isnt there clear video evidence against Terry?
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

I think the way the FA will get around this is to accept any punishment delivered by the police regarding John Terry and say he has been punished enough, case closed.

I also think, as with Wayne Rooney in fighting his corner, the FA will provide John Terry with the best lawyers the FA can muster to fight his battle for him to prove his innocence.

Either way, John Terry will walk away relatively scott free.

Yeah and there's also no evidence of Suarez

England captain, 2012 euros round the corner just got a feeling he will get a lesser punishment than Suarez. If that happened the whole football world will erupt

This decision by the FA is an absolute disgrace! It is clearly the work of Ferguson and his allies at the FA. It is not a level playing field. Ferguson can clearly see Liverpool coming up the hill and he is determined to keep us down.

If I were Liverpool FC I would make a stand by withdrawing all of our players from any future England squads!!

Can't imagine any of the players enjoy playing for 'Ingerglund' anyway? They should show solidarity with Suarez who has been victimised ever since he arrived in the UK. The club has got to stand up to this corruption!!

We should bombard the FA website until it crashes!!

Absolutely fuming!!!

This is a absolute outrage, will the FA show the public the evidence? Doubt it we have to ad a club and fans take a stand. These b.astards are bent to there core, just like FIFA and UEFA. It's time we,as fans of EVERY club took our game back. We have been shafted by a corporate elite that seen a fortune to be made. Sky have a lot to do with it.let's start a nationwide union of fans, who want to reclaim OUR GAME, its not the corporates, its are sport. Time yo fight back.

Im surprised by the length of the ban but not that he has been banned. In releasing the statement we did we could possibly get into more trouble. I think we need to take our medicine and move on

Goes to show how pathetic football has become in modern times. FA deserve to vanish and a new Footballing board should take over. This is a scandal, can't comprehend any of this.

3 Games would seen as reasonable if the charges were serious. 8 games is just insane. Fooking fa, if Suarez were born in England he would get a 2 match ban at the worst case.

Has a dirty Manc player every received such a ban + Fine ?

Just read this on the BBC:
Tim Vickery.

Some good points there, especially this one:

The English FA have now left themselves open to the same accusation of cynicism. What Suarez is alleged to have done is wrong. To draw attention to the colour of someone's skin in a manner that could be construed as pejorative is not acceptable in our reality.

There is a clear case for punishment as part of a process of education. But the eight-game ban would seem to go much further. It smacks of the FA seizing on a chance to score a political point. Were they really judging a case, or are they more interested in landing a glove on Sepp Blatter?

Whatever non Liverpool supporters think, the reasonable people can smell something pretty bad from the FA with regards to this punishment.

What the hell??? Can they convict a player based on the sole accusation of another??? with no proof ,no written complaint from the ref ,no televised or other ,that's it? one mans word against the other???

I don't know what would be the impact but i would seriously consider not showing up for any games if the appeal is denied. Enough is enough. Let the FA deal with the mess they created.
