If we're signing another midfielder, I can see Lucas not being involved as much... either Inler or Lassana Diarra could be signed with Gerrard moving up to partner Torres.

The news will be that Lucas is out and Inler is coming in for an initial £9 Mill.

I've never heard of this Moriales bloke, and I've never heard of Inler either. I'll reserve judgement on both until I've actually seen them play.

I only know him by name but it feels like a breath of fresh air to see us finally spend some decent money. Just looking over some of the Porto forums the general feeling seems to be that it's a good deal for all concerned. I'm not sure if that's a good sign or not.  :D

I bloody hope so.

Mick, its Meireles :D , Ive seen Inler for Swiss a couple of times, I'll tell you what he is better than lucas. Good player.

Inler is a HUGE upgrade over Lucas and a big reason Switzerland beat Spain in the WC.  The Udinese fan love this guy - hope this happens :nod

Was watching the Ere Divisie earlier and Toivonin has been left out of the PSV squad with the flu cough  :;):

Actually that was a dig at my missus. I had a bit of a sore throat so she goes out and gets me some vile medicine (which worked as it goes !) and some beechams while giving me a speech of "hope you live through this dilemma !" and rolling her eyes at the potential of what could happen next !  :D

Quality player; has a good range about him on both sides of the ball. Very strategic player, good awareness for the late run into the box in the last 3rd.
Does not offer as much defensive cover as Mascha but is more flexible...
