But that is how it works, isn't it?

We never gave the lad a chance to succeed at the club.
After Alonso had a poor season and his stock were low we couldn't get anyone to pay 14 million. Then we kept him, let him play and he showed his class and he was all of a sudden a 30 million player.

Since he was never going to get a sniff here, even if imo he has more quality than most players in our squad, who can blame him for leaving.

But let's be like lemmings and be happy that the club has splashed the cash on Adam and Henderson to save the day. Yay....

Bye bye aquaman... IMO, it's down to him wanting to go back rather than Kenny not wanting him. I loved his style of play... But if he's too willing to go back, it's not worth keeping him. At least Milan will be paying his wages now... It is also down to the fact that our owners don't really have to care what we paid aqua for, because it was during the previous regime. They have already paid for the club and all the players the club has. Now if they feel that there are players too high on wages and not wanting to play for us, they will care about that. This is a move by the management to get rid of unnecessary wages...

Aqua Man represent more then anything the Failure of Benitz. The manager which gambled our season away over an injured player ,for me was the main reason to see him out of the club. I can't forgive Rafa for being so blind and sacrificing the whole season with this rackless gamble.

As to the lad himself ,from what he showed us he isn't cut for the fast intensive pace of English football. I wouldn't mind seeh him given another chance but it is clear he looked for a way out to his comfert zone which is Italian football.

Clueless the people saying hes a class act and should be in the starting 11!

He played well against some crappy Asian team in preseason, had a decent 10 minute cameo against world hot-shots Valerenga but then put him up against Valencia at Anfield and he went hiding after 10 minutes when a few tackles started flying about!

He's not cut out for the premiership, so good riddance! Complete waste of money!

Adam and Henderson will serve Liverpools needs in the Premiership much better than Aqua!

We need to steer clear of that Italian League in future!!

This whole thing about looking forward to being at Anfield this Summer was a load of sh*t. Players say things like this all the time. He has the same sulky, disinterested look this Summer he's always had. Roma pulled a fast one on us and pressured the player when he was never sold on an England move. Rafa never should have bought a crocked player, and it will go down as his biggest transfer blunder. Let's move on, he's not worth getting worked up about.
