Id get rid of Spearing tbh, maybe loan out Shelvey. He is ok on his day but ability wise I don't think Jay Spearing is going to advance any further than where he is right now.

A wind up post!

Spearing does not look out of his depth when called on to do a Job.

Those quotes of Aquilani's sound alright. I'm sure he'd rather be in Italy (which is completely understandable given the last couple of years), but I've never had the sense that he was unhappy at Liverpool.

I do agree Meireles is a proven player and did a great job when Kenny took over. I would be happy if both stayed. But realistically we need to offload at least 1 midfield player and if i have to choose between Aqua & Raul, I will choose Aqua as he is younger and his skill & creativity is what we needed to break down defensive opposition which proves times & again to be our achillies heels over the past season.

His fitness issues appear to be behind him and with a good pre season and winner in the international he will hopefully be an asset or entice a bid from another club to release extra funds. I think the lad knows he has to start turning it on to get his career back on track here or elsewhere and in the friendlys hes certainly done that. His next hurdle is showing us he can work well and be effective in the premier league and this is the million dollar question with our Aqua.

Pity he was poison against Valencia when given the chance with a starting place!

No use doing it for the last 15 mins against Valarenga!!

I don't think it's a wind up post. if anything your card count points to an expert in wind ups.

Spearing is a good squad player will struggle to get any starts this season. His best chances are cup competitions.

If he'd been signed in this transfer window everybody would be raving about him.

Maybe that also means that he might get a chance tomorrow. That would be the real test for him if you ask me and we'll see if he deserves to stay.
