I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

Seriously... His agent's a fecking attention whore.  Aqua has said that everybody keeps talking about him and he doesn't know why.. It's because his agent clearly wants Aqua to move on so he can get more money!

He wasn't the only one though, neither were Maxi or Cole.

The omission of Acqualani and all those other players was to me a tactical ploy to get them shifted out the club and let them know without question they have no future at Liverpool. These guys at least have some hope pre season of working a way into the managers plans but after yesterday I am sure they will be speaking with their agents to try and secure moves out of Anfield. The money is one thing but some of these lads would find it hard being on the bench let alone completely frozen out all together so I would imagine they wont hang about long now.

I disagree.

Kenny has integrity. If he tells the press that Aquilani has a chance, he has a chance. End of.

If we didnt even have space for him on the bench against sunderland I dont think he will get many chances if any this season.

It's obvious he is on his way.
Why the club doesn't rate him I'll never know.
It's either that or Aquilani lied when he said he liked it at Liverpool.

I mean the club doesn't spend 27 million on Adam and Henderson if they think Aquilani is better. Common sense.
Not the conclusion, just the reasoning...

Or the club know that Aquilani will jump at any chance to return to a decent side in Italy, and Dalglish has decided to play the players he is sure will be here in September. If Aquilani is still here, then I expect to see him play.

Hmmm, but even so I'm not sure why that would preclude him a bench role at least...

We need to keep him imo....

So far, our 2 central midfield signings have failed to impress and it might be a while until they start to.... Gerrard is injured and the central midfield options we have are: Lucas, Meireles, Adam, Henderson (Spearing).. I still think we have room for Aquilani regardless of who we have in the squad... He's a top talent and is someone who can change the game or side when in the mood...

I still think we should be building the side around our best players (Gerrard, Suarez, Meireles, Johnson) and I think Aquilani fits in very nicely with that quartet in terms of style of play and compatibility...

Hopefully no one comes in with an acceptable bid and Kenny is forced to keep him (at least until January) and we decide to give him a chance to show his worth... Its a shame we handled the whole Aquilani situation the way we did (since day1)... He could have been a good player for us (and certainly a fan favorite) but managers over the years mishandled the situation eventually leading to where we are now.

@liam_tomkins (writer, co-founder of kopsource.com, usually reliable) tweeted earlier:

"Also looks like Aquilani's time at #LFC is over - expect some movement on the AC Milan front next week. Meireles staying.

"He's not being treated badly at all. He has asked to leave, we're hardly going to put him in the squad with that mentality.

"Nothing definite til the contract is signed but there will be talks, should be able to come to an agreement.

"He is desperate to leave, why should he get in the side ahead of someone like Meireles who is desperate to play for us?

"Aquilani is a good player, but would rather have players who want to be at the club."

For me, if he doesn't make the squad for the Exeter City league cup game, he's definitely out.

Don´t be fooled... Alberto will outlast even the 18 year olds... the contract he's on he's goin' nowhere. Him and his mate Joe Cole.
