I think he's gonna be a valuable piece in Kenny's jigsaw. Aqualani just scored for Italy as well
joey ate the frogs legs

Him playing ahead of Aquilani or Meireles is not something I'm too excited about... That said, I expect it to happen when everyone is fit and I wish him all the best when hes on the pitch...
Certainly have a lot of concerns about Adam and his abilities but the management seem to rate him and we've been chasing him for a while...
Hes under a lot of pressure given the competition for places in the middle and if he doesnt perform well in the first few games then he might find it hard to get back into the starting 11...

The main concern I have with Adam is that he often loses the ball trying a hollywood pass. I have watched him a few times and he does give the ball away a lot.

we will soon see if he is out of is depth at this level, during the season, especially if he " goes missing" for a lot of the duration of games, instead of contrlling the midfield and the LFC aspect of games.

Only one season in the top flight with Blackpool, (who got relagated) is a big risk, and has never won anything in football.

comparing him to Alonso is a Joke.

lets see what he does under pressure at anfield every week.

he could just be another danny murphy....kack

The same Danny Murphy who won player of the season?

Mug. Do your homework before you try a wind up chump.

He'll be even better Reg, Zidane retired at 34 , Charlie (apparently) will play beyond that.

Charlie Adam can become the Liverpool metronome for the next
10 years

Think we're looking at a trio of Lucas/Adam/Gerrard when/if every single midfielder is fully fit.  The only spot there that will be up for grabs imo is Adam because I'm not fully convinced that he can hold off Aqua/Raul on a consistent basis.  Also I don't expect Stevie to be playing a lot of games either so in the end I believe there's still many opportunities for our midfielders to stake their claim.

Great assist... But besides that, he was disappointing imo... Same concerns as the ones from before we signed him..
Too static in the middle, fails to bring the players around him in the game enough, and loses possession way too many times from trying the long ball..
For me, he's much more suited to an advanced midfield role where he is allowed to play higher up and put crosses rather than diagonal balls in... In the middle, we should have someone who is comfortable playing the short pass and carrying the ball playing alongside Lucas (who isnt the best at carrying the ball and for all his improvement isnt the best at starting attacks either)..

Gerrard returning will certainly make it interesting for Kenny selection wise... If he sticks with Adam in his current deep role that that puts Suarez on the flank (assuming Gerrard will never play down the right again) where he will have to go back to support the fullback regularly.. Cant see it happening myslef but certainly seems the most likely option...

I thought he did well Ace, he did put in some quality balls, especially the one he fed to Andy Carroll for the disallowed goal. However, I think the whole team went static in the 2nd half and we lost our invention in midfield. He looked very combative as well chasing every ball but really can't tackle for sh!t.

I think you may have just found the role Henderson should be playing  :p   Kidding.  Kidding.  Adam's performance today was another which looked good in the first half, faded late in the game.  I dnon't think questions about fitness of the starting XI are out of order.

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

Yep.. good work rate and will obviously pick up his fair share of yellows this season...

He'll always be a threat with his delivery.. Has a great left foot on him... But the thing is, when he's not playing the long pass or the cross, he does little to help us in terms of keeping possession and getting midfielders involved in the game.. Suit's Carroll's style of play to some extent but takes that bit of flair and fluidity out of our game..

If we want players like Johnson, Enrique, Downing, Maxi, Aquilani ..etc getting on the ball and carrying then it might be a bit of a problem with a midfield duo of Lucas-Adam... His lack of mobility (imo) is the reason why we'll need to play someone else beside Lucas to get our attacks started.. Pass and move... He gets the first part right

To some extent you're right... Henderson might be better suited to the deep midfield role than Adam is...

Best case scenario is having Meireles and Kuyt ahead of both but I cant really see Kenny dropping Adam... After his assist and his delivery on the corners I'm not sure I would either...

Just need to get the balance right , and its not a matter of the players adapting imo..

I think he's a decent tackler.  He does get his fair share of yellows, but ever game I've seen him play in so far he's had some very nice tackles.

I think the opposite actually.  Yes he does try to put a tackle in and is not afraid of mixing it up in the middle.  I just think his lack of pace and lack of defensive recognition tend to leave him a bit late getting to where and when the challange should come in.
