Rumour of the day - For the miserable tw@ts amongst you

Liverpool Football Club - The Rumour Mill

I could see it either way. We may invest, we may not.  He's basically said thee exact same thing after we signed Downing and people were worried we wouldn't bring in any defenders, but we got Enrique.  So hopefully we get a CB, but if we don't there's no way I'll feel let down by them or anything, they've done fantastically.

I'm not sure how you can rag on them because their American.... They've already spent over £100 million pounds on players, have been extremely open about the stadium situation instead of just continuously telling us it was going to start any day now, and have set up many deals that are way more profitable for the club.  In the end, yes it's an investment.  But they know for a club like Liverpool that you must be successful for it to be a good investment.

Given that we tried to get Phil Jones earlier this summer suggests Kenny wants to strengthen the centre of our defence so maybe we'll see another signing yet !

I can confirm that Liverpool have offered £12m, plus David Ngog, for Bolton's Gary Cahill. Never interested in Dann. #lfc #bwfc

lets get him!!! :buttrock

Yep, and the 12m + Ngog looks likely to be accepted.

only thing is we will lose a striker... our firepower is getting less and less...

Suarez, Carroll, Kuyt, Pacheco, Suso, Amoo, Gerrard, Aquilani, Adam, Maxi, Downing, Sterling, Mereiles, Cole...

I think there are enough goal scorers in the club without N'gog. Maybe not all tested at the top level, maybe not all 1st choice players but we can manage without N'gog I think.

Especially considering we won't have European football this season.  I think Kuyt would be (have been?) ahead of Ngog in the pecking order anyway so no big loss if it happens.

We will hear about that today mate, heard another story that Kenny won't let Ngog go if we don't find a replacement, but if Ngog doesn't make the bench today then the Cahill deal looks likely

IMO
