He had a quality game yesterday, dodgy goal but his link up and work rate were excellent. I don't think he will be fit in time for the Sunderland and Arsenal game though

Doesn't he get 2 weeks off now? I don't think he will burn out as the so called "experts" on sky sports or websites will claim. Remember that we aren't in Europe so less games.

if he played for the mancs those sky sports 'experts' would be having a w@nkfest over him, but because he's with the pool he'll burn himself out.

What a player! It wasn't fair in the final though considering Paraguay had nothing to offer in terms of threats. So amazing for a small country with that attack "Cavani, Suarez and Forlan". 3 million people:D.

Suarez will be back for the Arsenal game and he will be steaming.

Sorry people but the Mancs managed to get quite far in Europe and the League, dont recall their cup runs but I bet they weren't too bad either. This burn out thing is a pack of sh!t

His value is going to be a topic of discussion more and more if he continues to perform this way.

I have no doubt his motivation to play for Liverpool was the opportunity to play in the Premiership. I also see his choice to move here was genuine and motivated by the impression the club gave throughout the transfer process. No doubt the club and the history was a large factor in the decision.

The pressure is now on the club to match his expectations. Too many times people band on about "loyalty". In Suarez' case the only loyalty he owes us is his contract length. We cannot claim to of saved him from a bad club or nursed him through injury. He is ambitious and I have no doubt if we go trophy-less for the next 2-3 seasons he will get itchy feet. And rightly so, a talent like his deserves success.

That said I truly believe that change is in the air at Anfield and that under the helm of Kenny we WILL win things. The more we win the more we attract quality signings like Suarez.

Good post SCS, he can get itchy feet... But he shouldn't be so traitorous about it like our previous star striker... On the club's part, we should never sell to any of our rivals... Sell them to another league if they start getting itchy feet...

Abit out of topic here... But shouldn't we consider buying Forlan for our short term needs? It's a ready made partnership with Suarez... I don't think carol is ready to give us 20 goals on a consistent basis... I only see him providing 10 odd goals a season...

Good point Benny.  Biting that bloke's ear gave him a much bigger winter break than he's used to(' :D') He was also cup tied when he came to us and had a two or three week stretch where he had no games.  I seem to remember that he was very frustrated not getting enough games due to circumstances.

He absolutely dominated the Copa America, I don't think players like Suarez get burnt out, he's driven, he's passionate, he's one of the best players in the world.(' :buttrock')
