his agent has denied anything about Fiorentina

can't say I'm :censored: where he ends up. One of him and Raul are gonna go. Raul has a better case for a second season than Aqua

i like Raul, but i'd prefer to keep Aquilani should i need to choose between them. Aquilani is younger and to loan him out is Roy's decision not Kenny's. Kenny may want to give him a chance..

Yeah, he's in the video of training in China.  And also in the video of the flight to China he is joining in a bit of banter with Carroll, Kuyt, Adam and Spearing, seems a part of the team in the sense of being one of the lads, seems happy.

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

Although it was just a friendly today Aqua was quite composed when he was on the ball, certainly handling it the smoothest of our players imo. He played a few passes that were too long for the runners but it's only his first game back. TBH I'm quite excited should he get a second stint at the club

Agree.  I thought him and Adam actually played quite well considering it's the first game back and neither have really played with that group of players.

yeah but we all know he's got that in his game and tbh players like Aqua will always look good in these games that are played at a slower pace with less physicality and very few tackles flying in. He'll always look composed on the ball, crisp in his passing and seem like he has lots of time BUT will he put the boot in when the time comes? Will he mark, track and tackle the way a cetre-mid is expected to in the EPL? I like him, I like watching him play but I don't think he has a chance of winning a spot in our first 15. If Mereilles is struggling to stay on after a very solid first season (and i suspect it's coz he dosn't much like a tackle either) then I don't Aqua stands much of a chance either.

He'll be on loan to a Serie A side by 1st September. At least that where my money would be.

He's class, if he stays he'll be one of our best in attack especially alongside Suarez and Downing.  He won't be played as a CM though, CAM is more likely.

He has to stay fit though!

Miereles is a bigger sh'ithouse than Bert will ever be
If courage is the criterion for staying then Raul would be off his pop

If Mereiles goes he stays. If Mereiles stays he goes. I think it's that simple. It would be ridiculous to sell them both.

John_W_Henry John W. Henry
One missing link last year: Aquilani. Put the ball near Ngog and the goal and it's going in. Too much talk of them somewhere else.

Thommo is going to go crazy :D

Awesome game today by the maestro. Almost pulled off an Alonsosque long ball for goal in the end also.

Im quite annoyed with McAteer & Fairclough's comments on Aquilani on LFC TV 10 mins ago. Seems to think realistically he wont break into the team and that the pace of the game will be his downfall. He will come good and having observed his performances in the only half he played in (plus the passing + alonso'ish shot from halfway line) means we will be the one to watch having lost him as midfield link last year. Like a new signing to us. Hope Kenny keeps him.
