Well lets see how he gets on next season then, he has plenty of potential.

Now hes coming back I think a bit of decent PR may be a help and if hes anything about him he should be telling us hes up for the new campaign and ready to show us he can play and graft for the club. If I was manager I would be putting him in front of the cameras and instructing him to do exactly that and start earning his corn. He needs to remember we showed a hell of a lot of faith in him and gave him a very generous contract and its about time he at least said something and started giving back. Seems to me hes the type of lad that needs a kick up the :censored: and a wake up call to get him shifting.

I'm worried by the fact nobody wants him, either that or clubs think because he doesn't want to be here they can get a cut price deal, in which case we're doing the right thing in getting him back in. We'll see how he gets on, I'll be surprised if he's a Liverpool playercome the start of the season though (just a feeling)

I think it's the latter.

People know what's going on at our club and they are trying to take advantage of us left and right.  We need to pull him back unless we get offered more than 10 million pounds.

He's defo the reason Raul is up for grabs, it's either one or the other and seeing that Raul could fetch the most money maybe that's the reason.

Looking at our squad there's still a long way to go this summer in terms of sales and purcahses, July should be a massive month

I think this is probably the case, they are looking at getting him on the cheap knowing he doesnt want to be here and we are happy to sell.
But if they are not willing to meet the asking price get him back here.
If Meireles is sold because of it that's a shame but players come and go.
I would be happy to have Aquilani as part of our squad next season.
Last season looking at our options they were poor, he is a decent attacking option to have on the bench or to come in with injuries suspensions or rotation etc.

I can see a scenario where we bring in more than we move out this Summer.  When the Winter transfer window opens, Aqua, Jova, Insua, Cole, and whoever else might look attractive to squads still in the CL looking to strengthen their squads.  It would be optimal to ship out as much dead wood as possible this transfer window, but not the end of the world as our lads won't be cup tied in Europe come January.  That could give them a little extra transfer value for some desperate clubs.

So nobody wants to pay half the price for a fit Aquilani than we paid for a long term injured Aquilani. I wish Benitez would get a job somewhere and buy him ffs.

Paying the amount of money we did for Aquaman was stupid because he was injured but even more silly is paying 20 million for Hendersson and 35 million for Andy.

He deserves a chance here now that he is supposedly fit. I'd rather have us get nothing for him then letting Juventus screw us over.

Alberto Aquilani insists he has no problem returning to Liverpool following his season-long loan at Juventus.

The Italy international is due to return to Merseyside for pre-season training after a permanent move to Juventus fell through.

Aquilani impressed at Juve during his loan, but the Italian giants refused to pay the asking price to keep the midfielder in Turin.

The 26-year-old has previously admitted he would have preferred to have stayed in Italy, but he insists he is looking forward to returning to Liverpool.

"I return to Liverpool with great enthusiasm," Aquilani told Sky Italia."This is not a problem.

"It's not true that I didn't want to return to England."

hopefully KK can take him out to a nice pasta restaurant and make him feel at home... he can become a very good player for us... not knocking Charlie but Aqua is way more talented and classy passer than Charlie...

Sure it isn't Albert. :D

In any case, if no one's biting in Italy and he is coming back I hope all concerned wipe the slate clean.  The lad's clearly got talent and hopefully Kenny will find away to unlock it and get the best out of him.  He could be like the proverbial new signing...

funny how it changes, now aquilani is fit playing wel and cant be off loaded, everyone is wel on for him returning and forget about charlie adam,,,, not slated it tho because im in the same boat, think he could do a job for us, especially if meireles does go, hed be the perfect replacement. plus hed get his number 4 back . stil want to keep meireles but.

gerrard, lucas, aquilani, meireles, spearing, kuyt, mata and downing would be an unbelieveable midfield to choose from.
