if he leaves, the only regret is that we would not be able to see how can performs under Kenny.

Kenny came in with a clean slate and his given almost everyone a chance to prove what they can do - Spearing being a prime example along with the 2 young FB's.

So...maybe he should/will take that same approach with Aquaman and give him a chance to, as max says, play under the new regime in a team/formation/environment massively different to the one he left.

I see the point made that we possibly don't need him but I would counter that by saying you can't have enough quality players and Aquaman has qualities that we could benefit from.

If we dont get what we want for him then bring him back simple. Hes class, injury free now, better then Miereles and despite what some dillusional people think on here proved he could play in the prem when given a chance. I remember watching him link up with Gerrard and Torres and it was as clear as day like Gerrard and Torres he was head and shoulders above the rest. People seem to blame him for the fact the club bought him when he was injuried, the same people who doubt Carroll ability.

Aqualiani is a class act he wouldnt cost us money and despite what some think on here isnt the same type of player then Miereles (even if he was so what wed have 2 cultured box to box players...oh no) and CAN play in a deeper midfield role (again dont get where people who say he cant get thier info from as thats where hes operated most of his playing career) in the Italian league where its all about discipline.

I'd like to see him put one full season under King Kenny. If it doesn't work out, no one can really blame him for lack of trying.

I could see him given a chance, it makes sense. But at the same time, we only want players who want to be here and he has made it quite clear that he would rather be in Italy. He has said he would like to return to Liverpool, but I think that was purely out of fear that he will not be sold this summer. If he doesn't want to be here 100%, then I don't want him. It's not in his heart right now and we want players here that really believe in what is happening at the club.

There's no doubt he's a good player, but I worry the physicallity of the prem is too much for him.

Boll.ocks do Juve not have the money for Aquilani.... they just dont want to pay that much for him.

There is little doubt that if he came back he would do well, and it would be like a completely new signing in an area we need strengthening. I am sure Kenny will have been in contact with him, but the lack of any announcement shows it is very unlikely we will see him in a red shirt again.

I think he is one of those players who prefer playing in their own country, and if Juve dont stump up the money I am sure that one of the other Serie A sides will.

Juventus have revealed they will not sign Alberto Aquilani for the fee wanted by Liverpool.

Aquilani has spent the entire season on loan at Juve after failing to establish himself at Anfield.

The 26-year-old has impressed during his stint with the Italian club keen to make the move a permanent deal.

However, Juve sporting director Giuseppe Marotta insists they will not pay the reported £16million required to land the former Roma star.

"There is a buy-out clause that has to be activated by May 15," Marotta told Sky Sport Italia.

"We'll try to reach an agreement before the deadline. I can certainly say we will not sign Aquilani for the sum set by Liverpool."

Milan are also thought to be tracking Aquilani and they could move for the playmaker if Juventus fail to strike a deal with Liverpool.

I assume this means juve until today before other italian clubs could come in for him?
