Stating the obvious here but you can never have too many good players/options in a squad and if we were to add a Cissokho/Enrique for FB and a Cahill/Dann at CB then I would welcome that. The issue then may be keeping all the players happy...

Many forget the superb 2nd half to last season that Skrtel had. OK he is still a bit raw but he has come on leaps and bounds IMO.

Skrtel is a liability, an accident waiting to happen.
He dives in too often and isnt strong enough either.

If we want to push on we desperately need a centre half.

Really irratating me how the media keep harping on about Liverpools spending... it never seems to be such a big deal when the Mancs, Chelsea or City do it.
And when they talk about 100M, i hate that they leave out the 55 or so we've made back.

All to put the pressure on us. The fact is the squad needs this money spending on it just to compete and IMHO we have spent well and astutely.

Ashley Young - 16 mill
David de Gea - 17 mill
Total: 49 mill

Liverpool:

Jordan Henderson - 16 mill
Charlie Adam - 7.5 mill
Stewart Downing - 18.5 mill
Total: 42 mill

They reckon weve actually spent about £47m overall which is a drop in the ocean considering Torres cost that on his own. Man City must have thrown £300m at it and still didnt win the league. They will be on our case though you bet on it. To me the spend is just the foundations and weve not even started adding any sparkle to it yet. Another £50m should do it

now I wouldnt mind Baines, but that's mental!!

I'm kind of in the fuck it it's not my money camp tbh. We could spend everything we have now and smash £40m into someone. It's exciting watching us splash the cash!!

Can't find any links to that Higuain story from the Telegraph. Also as good as Baines is, he is 27 and would cost a bomb. Id rather we spend a bit less on someone young like Aly Cissokho.
