Liverpool are eyeing up a move for Valencia winger Juan Mata, as Kenny Dalglish looks to start shaping next year’s title charge

The Reds have enjoyed a flourishing end to a campaign that started so dismally, and permanent manager-in-waiting Dalglish has already drawn up a transfer hit-list with director of football Damien Comolli.

One of the priority names on the list for this summer is left winger Mata, according to Spanish reporter Guillem Balague.

The 23-year-old has enjoyed an impressive season at the Mestalla, and has helped guide Valencia to third in the table with seven goals in 27 appearances.

And with the Spanish club crippled by around £350m-worth of debt, a bid in the region of £20million for Mata may be too much for them to resist.

Aston Villa’s Ashley Young is also a reported target for the Reds, as Dalglish looks to fill the left-wing void in his side.

But he’ll face stiff competition for the England international, as Manchester United are also known to be keen

Coentrao has claimed that he wants to join Real Madrid and that the Liverpool rumors are not true.

Good player, but way too pricey.

Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool have been given the green light to move for Sergio Aguero, after the Atletico Madrid president claimed the striker would not be sold to rivals Real.

The 22-year-old forward has informed the club of his desire to quit the Vincente Calderon, and the Blues, City and Liverpool as well as Juventus are all believed to be vying for his signature.

Early reports suggested the Argentinian was already set to join Jose Mourinho's men because he wanted to remain in Spain.

But the three English giants have all had their interest rekindled after Atletico chief Miguel Angel Gil Marin claimed he has assurances from his opposite number at Real that Aguero will not be moving to the Bernabeu.

Marin said: '[Florentino] Perez has told me he has no intention of signing Aguero and I do not doubt him.

'Firstly due to the good relationship we have personally, and secondly due to the clubs' relationship.'

Any offer of £39million would trigger a release clause in Aguero's contract, meaning Atletico would be powerless to stop him moving to whoever is coughing up the cash.

Source: Metro

If we dont atleast offer up the 39 million we need to get him and be one of the choices available to him were morons. :censored: the price the owners said if the right players becoem available we will go for them. Aguero is one such player.
