saw us linked with Bale like, dont see that one happening, would be amazing if it id imo he's class. Tottenham atm just hoof the ball for Bale to chase, couldnt be having that at Liverpool mind

Reina may not want the same thing that torres has gone through. He may want to leave the league if he leaves, and I think he could replace Valdez at Barca. He's better than Valdez, and he's ahead of him in the Spanish lineup.

I just pray he doesn't want to leave. Reina seems to be a person who doesn't let his emotions get in the way too much, but I think he really cares about the club and I think he knows that we have a rebuilding process and I just hope he believes in what the club are doing.

just a rumor coming out of Gazetta Dello Sport, someone posted a link from a journo who met Andres Villas Boas and asked him if he was to become Roma manager, he said he had a pre-agreement with Liverpool.

Maybe bad translation? dunno

Gazetta Dello Sport is usually a very reliable newspaper... or it could be made up by the newspaper

hmm our owners would be taking this young and coming outlook a bit far wouldnt they? he might turn out to be something 'special' mind

they've won the Porteguese league at a canter mind. If this was to happen I'd certainly want Kenny to be part of the set up in one way or another. Maybe Villas Boas could work with Kenny and learn the club etc before taking the reins himself?

He's playing in a very poor league that is littered with rejects from all across the world, he is untried and untested outside Turkey whilst Young has proven pedigree in the Premier League and would hit the ground running if he was signed by us.

Take into account when a foreign player moves to the UK they sometimes take 6-12 months to find their feet, which is always a big risk. Young wouldn't need to adjust to the rigours of the Premier League whereas when you sign any foreign player you always take that risk.

This isn't a dig but Turan is not twice the player Ashley Young is, nowhere near I even have my reservations that he's even better than the Villa winger.

but Turan always stars at international level and cemented his position in the team along time ago, something Young has failed to do. Id be happy with either, over the moon infact, thier both brilliant players can cross all day long and can bet a man.Ii just think Turan offers more as hes more versatile and can use both feet and would cost far less which would free up funds for another position in the team.

I agree about the possibilty of him maybe struggling to adjust and if they were both priced at the same value would go for Young if im being honest.

This talk of Pepe leaving is premature. The owners bought Suarez and Carroll and our KK can sit down and tell him who they have lined up for the summer transfer window. After the Citeh game and knowing the plans, why would he want to leave?

For the number of $30 million they are throwing around... Yes we could. Not that we want to spend that kind of money on one player, but considering we almost spent 60 on 2, that's basically 2 players at 30 a piece.

However, I don't really believe these rumors at all. I don't think I'd want to spend that much on a single player anyway, but if KK wanted him and the club wanted him, I'm sure we'd have the money.

Agree with you too Reg. Pepe is one of the happiest players when we win big games. Like after the chelski win when he ran up to KK and bear hugged him. He has the passion for the club and he's not stupid or greedy, he sees where it's going. He knows the fans love him and he's willing to stick out another season or 2 until we win the title. He has came out and said that if our owners invest, we will do great things. Now that they are doing that, he wants to be a part of those great things.

champ.league football to improve his chances of getting in the Spain squad. He'll be overlooked for at least another season if he stays with us.
