Seemed to be linked with a lot of british players which is fantastic. Add to that a little bit of south american flair in suarez and things can get exciting.

I'd definetely welcome charlie adam here, he's the type of player this club has been crying out for and potentially gerrards long term replacement.

I still think we need some more flair in the middle of the park. It's so noticable when Suarez is missing, we have noone else capable of those driving runs forward or anything like that. I'd quite like someone with those qualities to come in as well as the British talent

One quality player from abroad and the rest British, I'd be happy with that

Young, Baines, Cahill and Adam.. that's great. 3 Brits and a Scot, all young as well, 25 years or younger. I would be thrilled with these 4 signings to be honest. Add Jarvis in and we would have a really decent starting 11 with some decent depth.

I'm very excited for the summer... I can't wait until we actually hear about actual transfers we are actually linked with.

Daniele De Rossi supposedly wanting to leave Roma. Anybody think that would be a good signing? I think that would be a great signing.

Wow the club has some massive expectations expected of them this
Summer.

Hopefully we can recoup some money on player sales to help offload the burden of our 100million spending spree !

Young in particular would be a good signing as he can play on the left or right, even behind a striker also.

Adam will clearly be leaving, just depends on who else is in for him.

I dont think the expectation is of the sort of player we're going for. I think the ones mentioned (British in particular) are realistic targets

The amount of money we're talking about tho is another matter

There's talk about Mexes this morning.

I spoke of him a month ago as a very good potential signing.
He is an experienced quality defender who is 28 and available for free.
Makes obvious sense to me.

It still looks likely that AC Milan will get him but I think we should be really pushing for him

brilliant midfielder, but he isn't getting any younger though. We need a young, quality and hungry midfielder

Mexes would be a great signing, however, I don't think he first NESV's profile and I think he would want to join a team in Europe.

Would be an excellent signing on a free. We're also linked with Scott Dann and Gary Cahill. Both are really good players imo but Cahill would be the more expensive of the two.

Well if we look at the young players we have mostly been linked with,

Gary Cahill - 18
Charlie Adam - 10
Matt Jarvis- 6
Leighton Baines - 12
Ashley Young- 15

That's about 60 million we plan on spending, but with the players we plan on getting rid of, we could probably get 25 million. So really it would only be a 35 million pound spending spree

But if you look at it that way, that's nothing compared to other teams. chelsea just spent 75 and city tend to spend at least 60, if not more.

What's wrong with Baines and Jarvis? Jarvis has sent the second most crosses into box this year in the prem, which is what we need having Carroll in the squad. Top 10 in key passes as well, and considering he plays for fecking wolves... It takes a lot more effort to get those kind of stats. 4 goals and 4 assists for a winger is not bad at all.. I wish we had a winger like that.

And what's wrong with Baines? Baines is solid defensively and is good at getting up and creating things. He's got 2 goals and 11 ASSISTS
I don't know about you but 11 assists from a solid LB is incredible.

And I'm not the one who has came up with these names... Many people on these forums have mentioned signing these boys, that's why I stuck them in here.
