Taxi for Torres - judas fecks off to chelsea

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby crim cram » Mon Jan 31, 2011 1:57 am

Since Alonso moved to RM, he has talked about the special relationship between the players and fans that exits at LFC and that it is unique in the football world.  Torres could never have that again, and he will never be the same to Chelsea as he was to us.  I wish him nothing if he goes or stays, its all about LFC.  Walk On.

Deep down when you look at them you'll know they tried to fk you over.

Just remember what happened when Owen left. We will be back on our perch soon looking down on Torres and rest of the scum.

Exactly how I feel, i really will now be disappointed if he stays for rest of the season. With reports Anelka isnt keen to come to Liverpool, I just take the 50 million and get rid of cheap sl.t now.

i hope the club come out with a positive approach tomorrow and let the world know twit & tw@t aint here no more and we mean business.
dont budge a rex below the £50 mil asking price unless we get a player we want.if not make torres stay right here till the summer.
pull at least 2 more signings out of the bag.adam and young and maybe we could stretch another striker that can do a job for us right from the off like rolladega or dempsey some body decent that can gel with suarez and take some of the pressure.wouldnt have to cost the earth either.personally i think rolladega if we could get him for £15mil.
all wishful thinking i know:D.
i just hope we dont rue this transfer window having spent it making a few half a$$ enquiries and ending up losing our top striker and getting walked all over in the process yet again.
ffs spudz are flashing obscene amounts of £££ in every direction and twitchy face isnt even looking for another striker??? .
lets hope fsg and lfc come out tomorrow and show the fans and the footballing world over that we are liverpool and we mean business.

Assuming that Mercenary Man leaves tomorrow, what are the chances that somebody is going to be sent off in next weekend's match? Hopefully Mercenary Man.

Take that 50 and maybe add another 50 million to that and we could potentially have 100 million for Kenny to go and raid the f*ck out of the Bundesliga, Dutch and Spanish leagues for the top young talent around. Start fresh, and start young and new. We could bring in at least 5 or more top quality targets in the summer and a big f*ck you to Torres for not sticking around and joining in. Another thing: hopefully Kenny tells Carragher that if he catches him hoofing the f*cking ball 50 yards up the pitch from the back, that he'll kick him in the bollox and drop him to the bench. That is all.

right on...couldn't have said it any better

This whole thing has just left me feeling very strage.

Only a week ago we were all still in awe of Fernando Torres, celebrating that kenny appears to have ignited that spark that makes the man such a special player. I am certain that one day Fernando will wake up one morning and realise that he has let himself down, and broken the hearts of the very best football supporters anywhere in the world.

I could have forgiven the lack of form, the seemingly disinterest on the pitch this year, the posturing. But to stab us in the back, to walk away when we need you the most, thats low. We have not heard it from Fernando himself, but the transfer request and its timing says it all.

It pains me to say this of a player that has at times carried us, who on his own has lit up Anfield, and up to know has earned the title legend. He has thrown it away. He has misunderstood at the very basic level what it means to play for LFC. Love us, respect us, play your heart out and in return we will stick by you and adore you, buy shirts with your name on the back and idolise you.

Liverpool fans are among the most passionate. loyal and knowledgeable in the world. You dont do this to us lad. And when your career is done, and you look back. This will be your biggest mistake in football. But you will have to walk on son. You have thrown away something special. You wont get that again at Chelsea.

The only way he will come back from this is a public and in person statement. But he wont do that. He will go, and you know what? we will still be the best club in world football. We will still have the best supporters, and we will see glory again. Money wont buy him what he will get here, and now its too late.

Go. Torres. You have sold your soul to the Chavs now go. You will be warming the bench come next Christmas.

strangely the likelihood of Torres departure leave very little emotions conflict with me.
i felt indifferent. Its like when Owen left us but when Fowler left i felt real sad. i guess i didnt really grown attached to them unlike with Fowler.

it might be that i have growth old now, if may be the faith in Kenny to make things right. He did sign Barnes, Aldridge and Beardsley after Rushie left for Juve.

the club will move on, as long as we have Kenny at the helm, we'll do ok.

So why can we allow Torres to leave?

those are 3 professions who - if they didnt get their move, would give their all, and not sulk about it.

Torres will score goals, but will sulk, strop and be a big girl about it

totally. as much as i cant stand Rooney, i have to admit he is one of the hardest working strikers ive ever seen.

Rooney was a hard worker when c ron was on the team.  he always had to get back and cover the wing because ron never got back.  after ron left and rooney became the new scorer, he was just as lazy as ron was.  I don't rate rooney much at all anymore.  i'd rather suarez, llorent, rossi, or carrol over him.  His only goals now are pens.  he had that one header that wasn't even good, the keep was just slow to react.

Lets not get all "Drama Queen"......

Players, Managers always leave. Only the club and the fans are permanent..

Torres has been an awesome striker here so far. He was one of he major reasons why we finish 2nd (something some fans keep harping whenever roy vs rafa debate occurs...thankfully not anymore). The same fans who were giving all kinds of excuses when roy was around (about torres not giving 100%) are now finding every possible opportunity to stick the boot in.

Torres has been a good servant for this club. Nothing has changed. He had made up his mind to leave this club in 2009 according to some reports (when benitez was the manager here i may add). He wants to win a trophy before ending his career and chelsea at the moment can provide that. So why grudge him that ? Good players leave clubs everytime (RVN, Tevez, Viera..soon to be Bale...etc).

My take :

$50 million is indeed a huge cash injection for a striker who loses a yard of pace every season. If anything, this $50 million along with further investment from the owners will allow us to build a new team in the summer (ie.....if we get the players rite...which i am sure with comolli on board, we could get back into the top 4 the very next season itself). In no time, we could be back challenging for the league.

Lets move on...and not act like some emo punk. Better strikers (Fowler & Rush) have left this club and we have moved on.
