but Rooney doesnt sulk or let his head drop like Torres does.

I totally agree with you guys who say that players and managers are not permanent, only the club and us passionate fans. If Torres wants to leave, let him leave and no need to label him Judas, traitor, scum etc etc. Even if he stays, one day the club will want to get rid of him like the club did with kop idols Rush and Fowler. This is the blunt reality of football. Players know that their club will only value them when they are of use to the club, thus they will always go where the cup winning glories and money are while they are still at their prime.

I don't blame him for wanting to leave, but I do blame him for backstabbing when the season is not over and his scoring prowess is much much needed right now. The club must convince him to stay till the end of season and sell him for at least 50 million. Then use the cash to buy a few more star names esp. a defensive midfielder and central defender who are good at counter attacks.

I know the guy is not happy here with his sour facial expression ALL the time. And I totally agree with the club's stance on letting him go now for 50 million plus Anelka as a free bonus whom we can sell for a at least 15 million.

so you're saying when Anelka comes over here, we sell him?

Has anyone told him that John Terry will be ripping the back out of his Mrs inside of 4 weeks.
From Shankly to Brendan we follow our team, Rome to Istanbul we've all lived the dream. Our journey is long, our goal stays the same, to keep for our children the famous red name.

Torres is such a stupid stupid boy if he makes that move. if he stays, its gonna take some time for the fans to adore him again. but im sure for most, the adoration just wont be the same.

Unless we can get a replacement in today I dont think he will move until the summer at the earliest. Not sure how we can end the campaign with just Suarez up top and Ngog in the Europa. Torres will have to wait, its too late in the day unless Comolli can pull a rabbit out the hat before 11.

I'm more sad and dissapointed than angry to be honest. I don't think the lad has handled it very well with the written transfer request but those who say he has stitched us up by leaving it so late in the window and all that stuff are wide of the mark I think. I don't think any of us really saw the bid coming did we? I expected him to be gone last summer and had accepted that he would be off this summer bearing in mind the terrible season we're having this time around. I'm going the game on Sunday and I can't bear to see him in a blue shirt but I won't be booing, hissing or shouting bile in his direction. what saddens me most is that he should have been one of the true legends of the club, he could have been up there with Kenny, Rush and Stevie. I'd go as far as to say he WAs probably loved more than Gerrard but not anymore.

Gutted by the whole affair :(

This is his last chance to see sense !! This move is just so wrong for him on all levels.
Think he should phone Ray Wilkins up and have a word with him about what happens at Chelsea when you express concerns that they aren't buying players to replace an ageing squad !!
Still don't get it Fernando , let me spell it out , you get the sack. That's right you're told at half time that there's a taxi waiting for you , clear you're things and go .
Now I know it's different with footballers , but make no mistake if you upset Mr. Abramovich you'll be gone . Sold to the highest bidder.
You will be a billionaire's plaything . He owns Chelsea and what he says goes.
Chelsea are on the way down , have you watched them lately , obviously not  , because the signs are there. Does the manager even want you. He's certainly not bothered one way or the other !
I really hope you have thought this through Fernando , because this could be the biggest mistake of your career.
Oh and by the way Fernando half their fans don't want you either !!  :(
