Halftime.  Pretty fortunate to have the lead at the break.  We are looking very good at times and on the other hand very disjointed at times.  A bit sloppy at the back in the last ten minutes.  Could be a frenetic 2nd half.

The match is on GolTV here in the US.  The picture is terrible.  Think they might be using a stream fom iraqgoals or something :D

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

Nothing new in Roy's world. Play for a draw try to steal a win. Let's how far that will take us...We are playing with a quite a few attacking players ,Pacheco ,Milan ,Cole and Babel but they are told to defend deep....He just doesn't learn.

Need to make the midfield a little more solid for me.

Poulson is an absolute passenger as usual but i'd bring Joe Cole off, drop Dani in the hole put Lucas on and shift Shelvey out to the right!!!

poulsen is having his usual pedestrian game.

i've actually twice observed him running alongside an opposing player who had the ball instead of trying to take it away.

A bit reckless from Wilson there. He needs to show a little more composure

I don't get the shouts of "Change the tactics".  If by changing the tactics you mean "Stop your players from losing every ball, Then I agree.  But we don't have the players on the pitch to get a hold of the ball and spray passes all over the park to each other.  We are being pressed for the ball by at least two of their players every time we touch it.

This is what happens when you have no strength in depth.

steaua's finishing have been shocking. they have had at least 5 good chances to convert. its a wonder we're still up by one. a decent team should have put at least one away.

but the way we're gong at the moment i wouldnt be surprised if they do score. and post game stories would read something along the lines of steaua dominating the great liverpool all game, and liverpool's kids come away with a point away from home. which of course, is enough to send us through.

(why are we so poor with possession?)
